I've liked the Intrepid since I saw a tour of the interior. The asymmetry needs a little getting used to, but it flies well. Also shows up as a starter ship so hopefully it's not expensive to buy in game. Also, even though performance was surprisingly stable, the hangars were absolutely fscked 😂

The intrepid seems fine now. It is a bit more expensive than I was anticipating but where the rambler gives up almost all cargo to have that nice of a living area this has all the internal bells and whistles gold pass stuff and keeps 8scu of cargo that can be accessed internally.

Love that you started getting stuck waiting for a train. Looking forward to getting in and seeing everything in-game. I loaded up my local Inventory at New Babbage with WowBlast pistols... I have... lots... The military reproduction suit is a cool one, but I'm surprised your gear isn't the Mercury BIS Bomber Jacket. I still think the Intrepid is definitely a bit past the midpoint between Ugly and Good-Looking. But now that there are paints, it looks a lot better with the black or the blue-grey paints. I think you're confusing the Storm AA with the G12 AA for the EMP.

I've always appreciated that you encourage people to just buy ships in game. I know CIG uses FOMO tactics for ship sales, but it is nice to have that reminder that you really dont need to buy everything

Ion was nerfed into the ground due to the "ace" pilots complained cause they couldn't joust with a size 7 cannon. All the Ion needed was a turn rate reduction which have balanced it perfectly. As of now all other size 7s can one shot a light fighter. But not the Ion, it's damage is nearly 1.5x lower damage than all others 7s.

I want to like the Intrepid. The top is a little too flat. My bigger problems are with the functionality. The layout of the cargo means it can only hold 2 SCU containers at the largest, which is pretty restrictive. And even with the size 4 gun the firepower is underwhelming. My current ship is a 315p which outdoes the intrepid in every way and frankly I think the 315p isn't very good. I get it's a starter type ship, but it just doesn't have enough going for it. If you bumped up the gun to a size 5 it would have firepower on par with my 315p, which is still lower than other ships in the category. They should do that at a minimum.

I think the intrepid is nice for FPS missions, thats it. I don't see that single size 4 doing much, cargo elevators is nice. I just don't like how they tried to do the Ares Starfighter look with a smaller weapon
