I just watched some of the hate videos against Teal Swan. I can't imagine her having bad intentions with her teaching. A lot of what Teal says resonates and feels like I already knew it deep inside. Maybe plagiarism, but everything that a person thinks has already been thought before. It hurt me to hear people so hateful towards someone else. They are focusing their energy in the wrong place. This is my first KZbin comment ever.. and I felt the need to thank Teal for helping me think about life from a different prospective. Please don't stop doing you Teal.

Notes: Interest = focussed attention. Boredom = weariness and restlessness as a result of lack of interest. This is so painful because: - The purpose of life = expansion. - Interest enables this movement. - Stagnation resulting from lack of interest leads to boredom and restlessness. - Stagnation is painful, and we become apathetic. When you are bored: - Thoughts are focussed upon thoughts of what you do not have. - Focus = what is preventing you from having what you want. - there is wanting. - Eg. Raining outside, preventing you from "moving forward" to interest (playing outside). People who struggle with boredom regularly: - Are constantly doubting whether we will get what we want, and have impatience to get it. - You have chronically experienced wanting and not having due to opposition. - We distract ourselves to reduce pain in the present moment. - This enhances unfulfillment. Antidotes to boredom: 1) Boredom = lack of movement. Take our foot off the brake pedal. Stop getting in the way. Pursue interests, or explore. 2) become aware of what you want. What are you focusing on? 3) How is this wanting able to be fulfilled? How are these road-blocks to getting it untrue? 4) The completion process. 5) Are you thinking your thoughts? Or watching them?

I think school gives me bordom. It makes me feel controlled and trapped. this feeling of captivity is like preventing me from being free. its a really painfull place, forced to learn stuff that is not my purpose in life. feeling stupid everytime I cant complete homework. Even places that support my intrest can do it as well, last sumer I was taking a music theory class which was very confusing and annoying but ofcourse if I go home and go to my piano, i play the most beautiful music on the piano all by ear. I guess i just learn differently. I just think school needs to embrace children passion and teach them the way they learn. its sad how I cant get anywhere in the world just because I cant learn the way society wants me to learn. As an indigo child, I know there is so much more to life and that school and parents is acting like a box that traps me and when they dont hear me or understand how I feel, I feel like I am banging on the door saying "let me out". You seem like someone that might understand me and I will love to meet you in person one day . I have hardly no friends, I always try ways of escaping but there is also an obstacle to that. I have no privacy in my house, my mom is always yelling and screaming and she spends more time in the kitchen right next to my room. I cant even meditate, I cant go outside because its to hot, and I have no friends or a car or any peacefull transportation. I know I might be going against the law of attraction hear by everything I am saying but I had to explain my emotions to someone.

So when this first came out, I was pretty "meh" about the message. I've been restless and depressed for weeks at work and suddenly remembered Teal spoke about restlessness before, and here I am, really appreciating and "clicking" with what's being spoken about by Teal here. She really breaks down what I'm experiencing, and it's weird 'cause I just have this blobby mess of emotions but it's definitely what she just said. I took notes and will refer to them next time I'm at work internally screaming. Thank you, Teal.

I have not been bored in at least a decade. I can stare at a blank wall for hours and time will move by like it has been five minutes. I don't have to have patience because I need no patience. My brain is on all the time! When I was a child my mom said that boredom is a blessing. She was right :-/ I'm watching this to try to understand the mindset of bored people, with fascination, because I know with what you say about your own mind, you are not speaking from personal experience, so I can't wait to hear this from someone with your perspective.

Hello!! Love Teals vids. Growing up I was so full of life. I look back saying "Wow, that was me?" I wish I had that energy and focus. I would beg my parents to let me dance, do gymnastics, color things, and most of all sing. Instead, I was yelled at and made fun of. Now as an adult I hold a grudge against myself and parents. I tell myself I should have done it anyways or ran away (irrational). Now I realize my parents didn't have the money and needed me home to babysit. They thought making fun of me was a better solution than telling me they couldn't afford it. Now, I have tried some things but they fizzle out due to the reality of a full work week and boss saying "No, you can't take that class it interferes with your work schedule". Sometimes I'd rather be dead than have another jealous being tell me "No". I literally have ran into several boss' in a row that may have been jeaoulous and tried to control me. I recently ecscaped the grip of my last boss but now I do have a real BORING life problem.

The perfect video, once again with perfect timing! Insane how she does it! Thank you Teal, for this amazing advice! I remember coming to similar conclusions in my journalling -- basically, just think about something you appreciate, and appreciate it! Just for the heck of it! Or take something mundane, as you said, and appreciate it! Abstract or real. You can love something that is not even physically present, there is a "mental ownership" that occurs with positive focus that is superior to physical possession. This is why minimalists can be ecstatic while the opulent may be bored. It depends on whether they focus with honour on what they have and/or value, abstract or physical, or not. This is the way I look at the whole "gratitude" thing.

It simply changed form become a kind of stress every time there is a chance of having good time if i haven't have fullfil the requests and demands of any authority figure.

Boredom is a thing of the past for most people these days in leiu of all the technological distractions. This i beliefe is why time is speeding up for everyone, less and less down time. I believe this to be a serious issue because technology is dividing and conquering we as a species, no longer do we need people in order to keep boredom at bay, we now have our mobiles which are a portal to untold treasures yet discovered, or so we believe.

In my process of expansion I am finding myself in a state of a lot of people who don't understand awakening or yearn for it from me. Turn against me. What I mean in this is quite literally I am finding people who only want to get to know for what I have learned. And not what I can personally cherish out if said relationship. Almost like free knowledge access. I feel taken advantaged of in this way. Someone cones into my life acts like they have a romantic interest in me and gaslight me to feel as if I m the bad guy or issue at hand. When in reality their projections try to make me feel trapped or stuck. So when I pointed out their struggles in a nice manner. They began being quiet and restrained. Trying to make me feel guilty for pointing out their flaws. So the last couple of days I've been feeling withdrawn outlasted or even nonchalant 》 bored. But I know deep down inside this isn't my natural state of being. Learning to let go and move on when something no longer serves me. I shouldn't take things personally especially when someone else shuts down due to the truth if things. Especially when my attention and power is diverted from expansion or growth. I am at inner child work and things around me seem to be slowly crumbling. Boredom being one of those things is keeping me "safe". I am much more than this projected being. I know who I am and I take my power back.

I wonder then how this connects to laziness. Maybe it's the focusing on more of what is preventing that thing, and experiences of trying so hard to get to some place and it not living up to your expectations of what you thought it would be. In short when we get bored that means we are not able to manifest the thing we are interested in, and that because there is something prevents us from manifesting this desire, according to that the first step we should take is to determine that thing which could be a situation or a thought, and after determining that thing we should find out a tool to challenge it to reach to our desire somehow (at least getting feeling of achieving it) otherwise we should select between two things either what Teal called "the other thing"( which is the possible substitute of our desire) and enjoy it as we often enjoy things we could get spontaneously without planning, or what Teal called "what it is"( the situations or the thoughts which made us bored) and try to discover the positive sides of it to release the resistance towards it, thereby accept it to make our feeling of boredom vanishes.
@danihydrant97677 жыл бұрын
Persue intrests -aware of what you want. And what is preventing you? -how is these thoughts untrue? -where you the one thinking those thoughts or viewing them?? -attention. If we give all our attention to a thing instead of the idea that your bored then yay. -try to savour something you'd usually find mundane. Eg wash plate. Really feel the water. The sounds. Personify the dish. It helps you eat. Idk.. Try to experience anything. Pretend you love doing this mundane thing. -you don't want what is, you want something else (boredom). You could either do something else, then do something else. Or you can want what you already have.(basically be grateful) Spontaneous. Dramatic life change. -ask yourself if you were completely spontaneous, what would you do right now? -you need the movement. Boredom is the breaks on but also the moving pedal -get paper write what you like in life rn -

This is going to sound a bit weird but I have always been bored (with life) however, I rarely find what I do to be boring. Meaning, I would probably rather be doing something else (say more exciting) but I get some satisfaction from getting mundane things done. I am not lonely, never was. I am now in my 50s and I am unemployed because I refuse to do jobs that just suck the life out of me. I have done enough of that. Now I would rather do research on many topics such as nutrition and mental health. Like Teal, I see suffering everywhere I look. I tried to help my last boyfriend for 6 years to deal with his childhood trauma but he ended up killing himself last year. That was very painful. Helping people is not an easy job. The thing I like to do the most is to travel but I can't really afford it, so I don't. I also have a health condition that limits the amount of energy I have, so I have to save it for things that I really want to do. I used to say to my boyfriend that I'd rather be bored then stressed out or upset. The best time we had were when we were lazy bums and just watched Netflix all cuddled up and eating chips in bed. I miss that. Boredom is not the worst thing that can happen but I am still waiting for that thing that will make me move forward. Boredom is complex and have many facets, sort of like waves maybe. Sorry if my story is a bit too personal for you. NOT ;)

8:06: for me, the restlessness is represented by the gas pedal, pushing on the gas pedal but getting nowhere. The brake represents what’s holding me back. My addictions. I will never get closer to my Desire here and Noun, without first letting go of my addictions. Bc my “Hear and Noun” wants me to grab on with Both hands. Seems fitting.
