great explanation! I have a pair of these on my Z. making good power but have 2 minor issues with these EFRs. heavy turbos flutter(lack of an external bov- but sounds great) and excessive smoke from exhaust. looking at getting a bov (not sure what size) on the charge pipes and an oil pressure regulator to help with the smoke. your thoughts?

Someones kit? A properly set up and plumbed turbo should not smoke. If other Zs with the same set up don't smoke. I'd be looking into your motor and excessive crankcase pressure issues (PCV, cracked ringland, etc)

@@TurboKitscom yeah its an aam twin turbo kit. built motor and have a bullet catch can but will look into possible excessive crankcase pressure issues. thinking about getting an oil pressure regulator and a set of external bov from you guys

@@majareshe Yeah the Turbosmart OPRs are great, but I would look into PCV, Valve cover breather routing and hopefully not cracked ring lands...

Got an Audi S2 - 2.2 litre inline five. Did a borg warner matchbot. I want to reach 392hp as fast as possible, good transient response. Would an efr 6258 with something like 0.85 A/R be be ok , or would maybe a efr 6758 with 0.64 be better for my usage?

392HP form the motor or at the wheels? What fuel and boost level?

@@lskogstad I'd stick with the 6758, not a huge spool difference and you'll get the additional compressor flow.

Hi. I have a efr 6758 and the exhaust wheel is broken can you get the turbine wheel
@TurboKitscom4 ай бұрын
Borg does not sell ANY of the parts separately and most rebuilders won't work on them since they need special adapter to high speed balance on the VSR. The last EFR we had to them for warranty, took over a year and was denied due to oil contamination. So your best bet is to buy the replacement Supercore here: www.turbokits.com/borg-warner-efr-6758-supercore-179375.html

You guys ever consider making a kit for the Lexus is350/250 gs350/300?

We had started a kit for the RC350, but due to lack of engine space and tuning options, we ultimately decided against it.

I have a mk3 supra with the 7mgte and the stock turbo is a bit smaller than this one but still close enough in comparison. Im not chasing huge power and keeping it rather mild closer to stock, looks like this might be a good contender to replace my 30yr old ct26
@TurboKitscom Жыл бұрын
Yes, if you are trying to get as close to stock as possible, but have an upgraded turbo, yes, you could also look at the 6758 as well, some more room to grow with minimal difference in response on that motor.

@@TurboKitscom Yea, I've been eyeing on both of those. But primarily on the 6258 since I'm on factory ecu and Automatic transmission.
