Fred certainly counts as an all-rounder (his Test record includes 226 wickets as a bowler, top score of 167 as a batsman, and 52 catches, mostly in the slips), also a good team player and known for his humour during play, he received a Man of the Match award in a one day match playing for his county team, Lancashire, and his on-mic response was "not bad for a fat lad". After retiring from cricket he had one pro boxing fight, which he won although admitted later that his opponent was not the strongest. First letters round I got PRAYED, PREYED or DIAPER for six, but overlooked EIEIPADRY somehow.
