This song makes me cry every single time. These guys were brothers. Brian and Roger were touring with Adam Lambert up until a few years ago. Brian would sing Love of my Life and for the last verse Freddie would pop up on a screen (taken from the performance of this song at Wembley) and Freddie would sing the last verse with the audience. Never is a time that I’ve seen them perform this that Brian didn’t have to wipe his eyes at the end. To this day it is painful for both he and Roger. If you would have let the video play out you hear the door shut and the director tells Brian to take it easy. I’m assuming making the video really hit Brian hard.

I get what Gabe is saying about tribute songs but I think it depends what the motive is behind the 'tribute'. If it is purely about remembering and doing a tribute to the person(s) it is about then I am ok with that. What I don't like is when all they are doing the tribute for is to make money or capitalise on the person(s) it was about, that is when I have a problem with it. As for the families and friends of the person, I suppose it depends on them as some will love that their family member or friend is still remembered and thought of so highly but others it can be painful. One person that comes to mind is the Hollywood actress Kate Beckinsale whose biological father was the British actor Richard Beckinsale who tragically died of a massive heart attack at just 31 years old. Kate in interviews always used to say that she would watch his shows whenever they were on just to see him, and she said his shows would always be on at important times of her life. She said even when she gave birth to her first child, Porridge (a British sitcom starring Richard alongside Ronnie Barker) was playing on the telly in the hospital. A bit off subject but I thought on tributes it might be relevant lol.

It took a number of years after Freddie's death for them to record this and you can see it was still very difficult for them. John particularly looks utterly broken.

Maybe they didn't just do it for the fans, but did it for themselves too - how else does a musician express their feelings? John Deacon retired after this single, and although Brian May and John Taylor went on to perform as Queen, they have never released new music since this song under the bands name.

Cricket is the 2nd biggest sport after Soccer. Mitchell Johnson is probably Australia's best or 2nd best left arm fast bowler, + he was handy with the bat as well. In Cricket every player in the starting lineup is expected to bat (including the bowlers) whereas in Baseball, you have designated pitchers and designated hitters. So it's different in that regard. Mitchell Johnson while he was a bowler, he once got a century which is when a batsman gets 100 runs, the whole crowd will give a round of applause (sometimes even a standing ovation). It's something every cricketer aims to achieve, just like getting 5 wickets in one innings (the equivalent for a bowler) which he got many of.

Push start is only applies to manual cars , the driver would sit in the car , handbrake off , clutch to the floor and select 2nd or 3rd gear and IGNITION ON all while stationary . While still with the clutch to the floor the other person / persons pushes the car up to at lease a jogging pace ,once fast enough the driver releases the clutch rapidly , this will make the engine turn and if your lucky will start , and as long as the driver pulls up and doesn't turn the engine off you will be ok. This procedure really only applies if the fault is a flat battery . So your basically turning the engine like you might have done in the old days of a engine crank handle.

Perfectly explained, had to bump start my mother's passatt a few times when I was younger, especially in the winter when the cold battery just wouldn't wake up. We would constantly tell her to get it fixed, but according to her it was exercise for us kids. Don't see it happening as much today, especially since the introduction of portable battery jump packs. Battery technology has advanced a lot since those days as well. I can't imagine trying to bump start a modern car, they are much larger and heavier than they were back then.

I once went for an operation while I suffered from a bleeding disorder and as they put me out, the surgeon and two other doctors were still arguing about the dosage of medicine to be used to stop me bleeding out afterwards! They must have got it right, I guess, as I am still here.

I think the greatest gift ( Not school teaching). ie life.Is to listen and not give advice. People will know you respect them and then are open to your experience. Tell them nothing about yourself and just give your experience of life. They don't have to take it. That's all I have to offer. ❤

Hey Nick! I really do love watching you guys and, in particular, the obvious love you have for one another. I wish I had a beautiful, loving partner like Jodie (but too late for that, I guess), who, incidentally, probably gets the brunette hair and fabulous blue eyes from her Celtic roots (not that Celtic is an ethnicity, but rather a culture, as recent genetic anthropology has proved, but that's too long a discussion for the KZbinr comments). All that said, your throwaway remark of "we all survived it" instantly brought back the trauma of losing my dearly beloved mother 10 days after my birthday in 2021 and only 3 months after being sneaked back in against nursing home policy by a kindly nurse to spend time with her, having been entirely banned from being allowed in to visit her from March 2020 to May 2021, in spite of being informed by her GP in January 2021 that they had assumed they had received the bloods of a dead person, her kidneys being in a state that she shouldn't still be alive and would definitely kill her within another 3 months. I'm not suggesting you consider my feelings, of course, because I am tough enough (after all, my father died from mesothelioma in January 2019 and I was diagnosed with the worst case of tremor-dominant Parkinson's seen in 30 years by one of the world's leading Parkinson's research centres within a year of that), but please bear in mind that many people did not survive and even more were deeply and permanently affected psychologically by what occurred. ❤

@@El_Smeghead Why is it a selfish comment ? As for your comment.. "learning" about how KZbin works .. While international rules about copyright exceptions are often similar, they can differ. Different countries and regions may have different rules about when it's OK to use copyright-protected material without the copyright holder's permission. In the United States, works of commentary, criticism, research, teaching or news reporting may be considered fair use. In the EU and the UK, more limited exceptions are recognised and the use must fit into specific categories, such as quotation, criticism, review, caricature, parody and pastiche. Other countries/regions have a concept called fair dealing that may work differently. Some of the content you have posted whilst on your travels would get you arrested in some countries..
