I think I figured it out if this is proper way to do it. I duplicated the layer and just added image in the new layer. However, I also tryed importing animations instead of images on to the mesh. Video footage does not seem to work. I tried different formats .mp4 etc

oh my I got that working!!! Final question. I would like to import a green screen video on to my tracking footage in the insert area so that it would be transparent on top of my other footage on that insert. hmmmm I dont think this can be done. Thanks again:)

While this is tricky to do within Mocha (actually just more convoluted than tricky), it's easier to do this back in your host if you're using the plugin version. You can choose another input source to be your Insert and render just the Insert separate from the background clip. For the greenscreen footage, I would pipe the keyed version into Mocha and just render the Insert on a layer above your original footage. Hope that helps.

I thought Powermesh wasn’t included in the adobe plugin? Or do you still need the standalone version for this?

PowerMesh is included in the Mocha Pro plugin for Adobe. It's not there in the free Mocha AE plugin. Mocha Pro has all the modules regardless of whether you work in the standalone or the plug-in version. Ah, gotcha. When I was in the industry, I was a huge user of Mocha. Now that I’m out, i miss it. I may get the Adobe plugin for hobby purposes. Best all purpose tool in the industry!

When I click the “render” button my object that I want to stick to moves to a different part of the frame. I adjusted the anchor point but it’s not perfect. Is there a reason why my object moves when I click render. I followed the tutorials exactly so I’m not sure what I am doing wrong. Thank you in advance!

Two things could be happening here. If you have trimmed your clip, remember to precompose it before adding the Mocha Pro filter. This ensures that everything will line up correctly. The other thing could be that your insert is not the same size/framerate as the footage you are tracking. The solution is the same, precomp before using in Mocha Pro. Hello all... please can you suggest us a COMPLETE tutorial (not again a review) of how to remove a stamp from a shirt (like you show in this presentation) and replace with a new logo (or whatever) using mocha to see THE WHOLE workflow and ALL THE STEPS officially ??? Almost all the tutorials are unfinished or cut in many pieces or jumping steps.. We would appreciate a complete tutorial with power mesh from scratch to see how to remove and then how to to replace/insert a new logo/stamp/photo . Surprisingly couldn't find one.. Thank you

Have you tried Exercise 16 in Mocha Essentials? : borisfx.com/free-training/mocha-essentials/ If you prefer to follow a written guide, here's the documentation for creating a PowerMesh : borisfx.com/support/documentation/mocha/9.0.0/#powermesh Once you've got that, here's the relevant section in the manual about Warp Mapping : borisfx.com/support/documentation/mocha/9.0.0/#warp_mapping You can do the remove/replace in one process. Keep it simple.

If you're Insert module to apply the PowerMesh directly, you can use separate layers as masks, for example for overlapping hands and arms. In the Masks parameters inside Insert, just select a layer or turn on Use All Layers, which will use all layers above the PowerMesh layer.
