This was composed and performed by ICS Vortex, former bassist and clean singer for dimmu borgir, before he joined that band, this was the last record he did with Bork until 2012 when he rejoined for Urd. For some newer tracks by Bork also composed and sung by him, with better production, check Frostrite, Up North, and Moon. Those are also in chronological order, as far as quality, I'd probably go Up North, Moon, and Frostrite, but all those tracks are fantastic.

It was recorded in abyss studio by Peter Tagtren, that's why you got so high and naturally this is 2000 - the best year.

They are from Norway

I am not extremely familiar with them except for their very first album, but as a correction, they are from Norway. I know you are not much into genres (and I get where you are coming from with your explanation). They were part of the second wave of black metal when they started out (and played relatively standard black metal) before getting more progressive and mixing in other genres into their sound (like folk in this one). You can still hear the black metal influence in some of the production here.
