I've heard PLENTY aftermarket exhaust systems on the 6th gen and as a proud owner of a 2017 2SS I'm telling you it is a waste of money to upgrade the stock performance exhaust, they sound that damn good. If you really must go louder without much drone in the cabin just do a muffler and secondary cat delete, it will cost you $200+ and not void your warranty. Just my opinion.
@goliath7017 жыл бұрын
Aftermarket exhaust does not void your warranty. Deleting cats and mufflers makes this car drone like crazy. The GM exhaust just doesn't have the right character. This car really needs an aftermarket exhaust.
@NA-du5vm7 жыл бұрын
goliath701 I never said after market exhaust voids the warranty. I've heard a deleted muffler and cats in cabin and beg to differ. The right character??? You hear it all the time across the board how the 6th gen Camaro SS performance exhaust is one of the best sounding stock exhaust, I agree. To each their own. I feel it's plenty good enough, if you want to spend $1700 on an aftermarket exhaust that makes little to no difference in sound then by all means be my guess.

@will17143 жыл бұрын
none of them are really going to give you that much of a performance increase, its more of just for smiles per gallon
@DrainPipeJoe8 жыл бұрын
A question for David, I'm confused, has Borla become an all sound with none of the engineering going to increases in horsepower and torque along with overall power that can be felt in your rear during hard acceleration (should I check out your web site to find out hp/torque gains and stfu??) ha! Also, I will be a proud owner of a 2017 ZL1 around October and am wondering if you plan on making an exhaust system just for the ZL1 and not what you have for the SS. It is a different setup all around with much more hp/torque than the SS. Your systems are still 100% stainless steel?. Back when I was a kid I had an S-10 with a 470hp LS1and a 6 spm that I installed a Borla exhaust system in my garage, I bought the exhaust in pieces that I had to do a lot of fabrication to make it work along with the LS1 headers and the truck sounded mean, people would tell me as I was coming down the street they would be looking for a high hp Corvette, Camaro and even a Mustang but not an S-10, maybe a bit to mean because I wanted it to be a stealthy S-10 but that went out the window when I had the LS1 heavily massaged, that was my last venture with Borla and everything was stainless. Right now Stainless Steel Exhaust Systems is in the lead for what will be installed on my ZL1 becauset what they have are headers which will come in 2" or 2 1/8" primaries just for the ZL1 (SS 17/8 or 2") I will get the 2 1/8" because I plan on some head work to be done. SSES will also have hp SS cats. The SSES system is a 100% complete system from the headers to the tips with many options that have to also do with cylinder deactivation which I know nothing about. So, will Borla build a full system from headers to tail pipes just for the ZL1? will you make headers for the ZL1, will they be offered with different sized primary's, will you have Borla hp cats? will the system be 3" out headers then all the way through 3" with the NPP? Or will I have to go the custom route or make my choice the Stainless Steel Exhaust.....system? Oh, and how about some before and after 0-60, 1/4 performance numbers with hp/torque readouts from a dyno.
