Hi Brothers and Sisters in Christ. I know that I was born again on the 13th November 2013, yet I still have so much trouble 8 years later with prescription drugs, methadone, diazepam, pregabalin, and zopiclone. They're all very addictive with horrendous withdrawals of stopped abruptly. I also don't have the courage to attend a church even. I feel like the Lord wants me to preach but I've got myself in such a low, lazy state I couldn't imagine it. I also picked up smoking cigarettes again. All I ask is if you read this, please pray for me. You day for the desire to leave me and the courage and strength to get up and do the Lords work. I've never lost faith or belief in Our Lord and God Jesus. I'm losing faith in myself though and am in a constant state of fear as if I've trampled on the blood of Christ and offended him beyond redemption. Please help. May Jesus bless you, John

Crazy but True, I found a Bible tract by Chic as a 3 year old, while playing. I didn't need to know how to read. I flipped the pages and made my decision right then and there. God started immediately raising my Spirit so that I could survive the things ahead in my life, namely rejection. Matthew 21:42 New Living Translation Then Jesus asked them, “Didn’t you ever read this in the Scriptures? ‘The stone that the builders rejected has now become the cornerstone. This is the Lord ’s doing, and it is wonderful to see.’

I wish I could tell for sure if I’m born again or if it’s my imagination. I’ve been lukewarm about my faith recently. although I do remember the first time I had an encounter with the spirit. I recognized how destructive sin is after I was diagnosed with a chronic illness. I got extremely depressed due to the diagnosis but soon after God showed me what he did for me on the cross and what he saved me from. After that a great peace fell over me. The summer of 2020 I believe I was born again, don’t remember the exact date but I could look it up. I’m just scared of back sliding, the temptations I had in past occasionally come back and I have become a slothful Christian. Pray for me

I've asked Jesus many times to take away my sin but i am still not born again. There is no new change in me. I'm still the same lustful wrathful slothful lying man ive always been. I hate my sinful nature but I am weak and it rules me. I have recently come to understand the second death and it comforts me to know that my existence in this life and the afterlife will come to an end.

Throughout salvation history, whenever God starts anew, we have water and spirit. In Genesis 1:2; the account of the flood, in Exodus; etc. we have water and Spirit. Before Jesus begins His ministry, we have Jesus being baptised and a dove (representing the Holy Spirit) descends upon Him from above. In the early Church, no one interpreted John 3:5 any differently than meaning baptism, so if you want to be born again, you get baptised where we are born of water and Spirit.

Before we are saved we are flesh, soul and dead spirit. When we trust only on the finished work of Christ on the cross then the Holy Spirit comes into us and regenerates our dead spirit and that is the new birth, not what changes of habits or actions our flesh does. Instead of trying to prove our new birth by the works of the flesh we need to do what Christ and Paul said and learn to crucify our flesh in our daily walk with the spirit. It won't be perfect but always remember that we rest in the FINISHED work on the cross NOT in our ever-changing experiences we have from day to day.

I enjoy your "The Door" series but I have a question regarding this one, relating to the funeral procession of a little girl, who Jesus meets on his travels, and raises her up from death. I read the King James and cannot find where this event is recorded. A widows son is raised from death, there is the account of Jairus' daughter in her room (in the presence of her parents), and Lazarus, the brother of Mary and Martha.

Yes, Matthew 13:55 " Is this not the carpender's son ?" I am a auto mechanic these days, but I also was a first born son of a carpender and spent my teenage years working with my Dad leaning as I helped him, I am a decent carpender today when I need to do that kind of work. I don't think it's a stretch to say JESUS was a carpender knowing his family's background.

Water baptism is only a symbol of our spiritual baptism of being placed in the body of Christ. You are free to be water baptized again, and you’re also free to not get water baptized again.

Baptism does not always involve water. Matthew 3:11 - I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire: 1Corinthians 12:13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.

Water Baptism is a work. Michael Pearl has even said in one of his videos "all you're doing is getting a bath"(notice, i'm quoting him in his own video). Dont believe me or him, look into scripture. There are seven baptisms in the bible, the one that gets you saved is the spiritual baptism of the holy spirit. You have the rightly divide the word(2 Timothy 2:15) or you will get "contradictions". There are several verses that support this, here is one I chose: Ephesians 2:7-9 7 That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. 8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast The entire book of Romans is great to learn about salvation. Works are for our rewards in heaven. Please dont just take my word or anyone elses on this. Open your bible and read, rightly dividing the word of truth. I should mention, pray with confidence to God for wisdom, understanding and clarity before hand. Edit: also look into 1 Corinthians 15:1-4

I was once one of those who prayed the sinners pray, served in the church, and convinced everyone around me that I was a christian, so much so that my pastor recommended me to a bible college. During this time, I had doubts about my salvation. My pastor told me that unbelievers don't worry about doubts. He advised me to pray and ask God to show me that I was a christian. As I read the word of God, I did not understand the passage of scripture in Romans where Paul writes, Romans 8:15-16 (AV 1873) 15 "For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. 16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:" and the other passage is like this one where Paul writes, 2 Timothy 1:7 (AV 1873) "For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind." These two passages of scripture I could not understand. The 2 Timothy passage terrified me because I did have fear, and not love, and because of the fear, my mind was in constant turmoil. But all this time my Pastor and my friends could not believe that I was not a Christian because of my works. God sent me over 2500 miles away to Bible college to get me away from those who kept telling me I was saved. After arriving at Bible college, as I read the word of God, my fear grew, and I wept in prayer often. I wanted to know if I was saved or not. I was confused. I did not realize that my heart was not ready to receive Jesus in belief. When I prayed the sinners prayer originally, in my heart, I was wondering if the pastor believed my prayers was good enough. Jesus was not on my heart or mind. But now, Jesus was always on my mind, and his word was driving me fearfully crazy. I did finally kneel and prayed in belief and asked my Lord to save me, and immediately the spirit of God filled my entire soul, and I felt God's presence for the very first time, and it was wonderful. I felt as though I was lighted on fire; and I was in love. I praise my Lord for how he saved me. I learned that as men, we cannot call salvation down from heaven by simple words. We must believe on Jesus Christ, and desire him with our whole heart. We must seek Jesus Christ until we find him, never giving up, because to give up is to be eternally damned. Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his (Jesus) righteousness...

You have something completely wrong. You don't have to search and search and search for Jesus to find Him that's silly my friend. Simply look in front of you, you don't even have to close your eyes, and Jesus is right there. Turn to your left side or right side over your shoulder, He's right there. Jesus, thank You for dying in my sin and for facing the wrath of God for me, thank you that your sacrifice and blood justifies me in the eyes of the Father. Thank You for rising from the dead for me and crushing my sin and the gates of hell for me. Thank You Jesus for I am dead to sin and alive in You and accepted into everlasting life with You Lord. Or simply saying Jesus save me my Lord, He hears you and bam He has you in His hands instantly. No one in the Body of Christ is Born Again. The 12 Apostles are not our Apostles. They are Apostles to Israel. The Apostle to the Body of Christ is Paul. Paul states that those who become members of the Body of Christ as a new creature. A new creature is not being born again. To be Born AGAIN...you must have been born before. The terms "new" and "again" mean two different things.

Jesus told Christians to pray for God's Kingdom to come and for His will to be done on earth as it is in heaven, didn't he? Matthew 6:9,10! God's Kingdom is a heavenly government ruled by Jesus Christ as King. Soon Jesus will bring beautiful changes to the earth. There will be no more death, pain or sorrow on earth, Revelation 21:4,5! No more wickedness on earth, Psalm 37:9-11! After Armageddon the meek will inherit the earth and live forever on it, Psalm 37:29; Matthew 5:5; Proverbs 2:21,22! The earth will be cultivated into a Paradise like God intended in the beginning, Genesis 1:28; Isaiah 55:11!: Jesus will do on a grand scale what he did when he walked the earth including raising those who are asleep in death, John 5:28,29! There will only be one government over the entire earth forever, Daniel 2:44! Jesus said that this good news of the Kingdom would be preached about in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come, Matthew 24:14! Can we believe these promises from the Almighty God? Of course we can, NUMBERS 23:19; Isaiah 42:8; Psalm 83:18!

I can't believe without more proof that 99 out of 100 people that regularly go to church/give and give and do much good and moral living have not been born again. I hope I'm right Pastor and your wrong. Terribly pessimistic and faithless towards God loving and persistent power of drawing all men to the cross. If your right Christianity is a very very small exclusive club. I believe many are born again and only when the times get really tough will they/we feel the awesome power of God's grace for persecution kick in. We've enjoyed a time of unprecedented grace in this country for many years and that may all be coming to an end. Than the power of the Holy Spirit will take over in our lives helping us like the early Christians to live and die for Christ's sake.

If you are making predictions about when Christ will come, you're contradicting scripture. Nobody knows the day nor the hour (Matt 24:36). All you're doing is causing people to lose hope when your false predictions don't come to pass. Repent, God will judge you for all the things you say.

Michael there's one thing about Jesus's conversation with Nicodemus and it is when Jesus said that no man had gone to heaven but didn't Enoch and Elijah both go to God's kingdom but I think and believe Jesus was saying that no man had been to heaven and return to earth and as in the days of Jesus and since then there has never been a man come down from heaven except for Jesus I assume that is correct tho it isn't contrary or to the truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ and my belief in Jesus as my savior Lord and king God bless and amen

If 99/100 aren't born again then how can the one be sure they are? Those other 99 are probably sure they are too but if they're not really born again they won't know til it's too late. Man, this is really hard. I've been studying for a couple of years and it seems like I'm not ever going to know for sure if I'm born again. I've called out to God like the Bible says to but I still don't know for sure. I believe I am but then I watch this and I'm not sure again.

Did you even watch the video or have you read the bible? To be born again, is to be baptized by Lord Jesus Christ, in the spirit, not by water. All you have to do is believe. Believe in The Lord and have faith in his perfect blood atonement you shall be saved, you gain eternal life, you cannot lose salvation. It's nothing but the blood that saves you, not of yourself.

Jesus told him you must see me be raised up in order to enter into the kingdom of heaven. He did help bury Jesus so it's pretty certain he saw him raised up. Thank you for your Bible explanations as always Michael!

He said 99 out of 100 aren’t born again. I don’t think we can know the exact percentage. But I think he just means there are lots of people who say they know Jesus but they don’t actually believe in Him.

Now repeat these words, and you'll go to heaven....!" These people are NOT saved, because they didn't hear the true gospel, which is sadly, the majority of so called "American" Christians.

Very grim stats on your last sentence about 99% of Christians are not born again. Probably true, and I’m proof of living my past life in a worldly manner, while thinking I was a saved Christian. All because of John 3:16. I’m 56 yo now. As a child proclaimed sinners prayer in church several different times. Even was baptized around 13 yo because my father thought it right thing to do. Now I want the Holy Spirit and to be born Again more than anything !!! I’ve been repenting and trying to live right. I lived a veteran sinful life in the Past. I’ve never been a avid church goer and Leary of a lot of today’s hipacrit churches. I probably need to find one, but have been reading King James Bible. It finally clicked and makes sense where years ago I tried reading it didn’t make sense. I take that as a good sign. My ears ring with terrible tinnitus now. Makes it hard for studying and even praying and concentrating !! I Love our Lord Father GOD and his Son our Christ Savior JESUS more than anything ! I just want to know I’m in that 1%. Help me Mike. What is in my heart is true. I know you’ve preached the sinners prayer is not necessarily the road to salvation, but what’s in your heart IS ? I hope and pray for salvation. Should I find a good church and be baptized again properly of My wanting and will ? I’m now afraid of being in that 99%. That is so scary !! Jesus being tortured and dying and resurrecting for our sins is so amazing and I want to honor that. Words of wisdom for me will be appreciated !!

I remember were I was even the preacher although I was very young. But I have repeated it cents but I still do wrong. And even when I no it’s wrong sometimes I still do wrong. I believe in God and Jesus died and roses and will be back. I read my Bible I have a very good understanding of the bible. But Christian I don’t no christianity has done about as much bad as of good. I believed on the Lord Jesus Christ at 5 years old I don't remember the day on the calendar but I do remember looking at a depictation of Jesus on the cross as a child I realized that the only way that I could go to heaven and be forgiven for my sins was to believe and get saved I believe that moment looking at the picture I remember it to this day I went to the doorway where my mother was doing dishes and I told her I wanted to be saved she asked me if I knew what I was talking about and I said yes when I die I don't want to go to hell I want to go to heaven so at 5 years old I trusted Jesus Christ even with the child's perception of Jesus Christ I understood he was the only way that Sunday I went to church and the pastor took me into his office and talked with me and read scripture to me and asked if I understood and wanted to become born again or saved I can't remember the exact wording I remember telling the preacher that I wanted to be born again I wanted to be saved I wanted to go to heaven and then I believed in Jesus Christ as a child with the child's perspective through my life Jesus has always been there that's my testimony I am a son saved by grace throughout my life I have sinned and send and my sins are shameful disgusting but they are covered by the blood of Jesus Christ the moment that I trusted him looking at the picture

Be careful which Jesus you believe in. Is it the one who was the one true sacrifice? Is it the one in the Eucharist that is sacrificed daily? Is He the only mediator for you and not relying on anyone else (saints, Mary, etc) for salvation?
