Stop using Autism as an excuse. I am Autistic and have never had thoughts of harming anyone let alone kill them. If anything I find it abhorrent having experienced bullying etc all my life. I have learning difficulties, selective mutism, chronic anxiety and depression. I was brought up to respect my family members, others and animals. I was treated exactly the same as my siblings in that there are consequences for my own actions and was disciplined exactly the same as my siblings. Autism nor mental health is not an excuse for violence and never will be. The more excuses you make for someone's choices and actions, the less they believe that they have any responsibility for those actions. Stop making excuses for individuals who know right from wrong. Autistics know just as well as anyone else what is right and what is wrong.

How come they're calling it a life sentence despite they're gonna be 39 when they leave and that's it they don't leave even earlier for "good behaviour"
@irreverend_
@irreverend_ 7 ай бұрын
Firstly they won't be released early for good behaviour since it's a MINIMUM term of 20 and 22 years. Secondly a life sentence doesn't mean life in prison, it means they will always be out on license if and when they are released, and minor things will see them back in jail at that time. People often confuse life in prison and a life sentence as the same thing.

Where are all the “it’s the parents fault” people? I have a sibling that had a better upbringing than all of us who is a locked up drug dealer, burglar with absolutely no morals. I on the other hand have never been arrested and grew up in a youth hostel and suffered tons of abuse. Some people are inherently bad people, and are more inclined to live a life of no empathy and morals. It isn’t always a bad upbringing otherwise all siblings would be the same. Some people have great upbringings and are evil, some have terrible upbringings and turn out to be great. Can’t always blame the parents, and equally can’t always credit the parents for their child’s success.

She did not seem to have learnt empathy, I think all teenagers are still learning empathy some learn younger than others, they do that through connecting with others. Like you say some people do struggle but would never do that, I think the key is when you are aware you struggle to connect with others , keep practicing, we learn to give and take and accept that we will let others down as much as they might let us down. @@hididdlyhodiddly6019 Responsibility starts at home with telling and showing your kids right from wrong and giving that moral fibre to go through life to ensure that you stay well balanced member of society. Love as well is so important, showing your child love with cuddles and encouraging them in all that they do , ensuring that they have a well balanced life . When these things are not in a child’s life is when you get these problems which in turn go on to murder and mayhem. Parents and kids don’t talk anymore, we live in a world where children play in violent games for hours on end and don’t live in a reality, and the line between fantasy and reality is blurred . The end result are the murders you see day in and day out from sleepy villages to the inner city’s and suburbs, where knowing right from wrong is lost and talking to your child is now a lost art . We have failed and now we are reaping the seeds that we have sown. Whether it’s too late to return to the days where mum, dad , son and daughter used to have conversations and talk about things instead of living in separate worlds . I’m 57 this year and what I see is depressing, my son is 31 years old and has his own child now and I hope he and his son never stop talking so they have a strong relationship like I had with my son . I personally don’t like the idea of saying someone was born evil. People may be predisposed to conditions that can cause them to commit horrific crimes such as ed kemper but how children are brought up and educated is incredibly valuable. Just saying that we can’t lay all the blame on some notion of good vs evil there are steps along the way in which people should step in to prevent things fromescalating

There are 2 types of psychopaths. Born, and there is definitely a propensity for evil when there is no conscience and they don't respond to any kind of therapy. There is 1 in 100 born this way an parenting makes zero difference. And those who have been brought up in a psychopathic household where the behaviour is learned and these prototypes can be helped if they recognise and want o change. Born psychopaths have no desire to change as having no empathy gives them a sense of power which they enjoy.

@Leidolfrthat’s not what it means. A life sentence doesn’t mean you’ve taken a life intentionally although that can be a cause for serving a life sentence. A life sentence is a sentencing given in court for serving time, usually with a minimum amount of years raging between about 10-30 years. After those minimum years are served the defendant can apply for parole. If parole is granted by the parole board then the person will be “on license” for the rest of their life. Hence a life sentence. Being on license means you will be under supervision of a probation officer in your community + there will be restrictions and rules you have to follow and if you fail to follow them you can end up back in prison. However a life sentence is different to a whole life term. This means you’ll spend your entire life in prison which are for the most serious of crimes

It’s a very strange crime ….. The Police claimed at the outset, that the murder of this Transgender young male, (and the gender isn’t in dispute), was nothing to do with him being Trans. It is clear that they realised that this was a Trans person, of male gender, and probably found him/her to be rather “different”ie, a not unattractive seemingly female young person, who was, however, a boy. Ratcliffe apparently stated that he wanted to hear if ghey screamed like a man or a girl, while being killed…… Would they have killed her, had Brianna Ghey been of a normal sexuality? We don’t know, but thinking back to my schooldays, certain pupils, who perhaps suffered from looking and behaving differently, were often treated rather unpleasantly by their peers. Was it this persons peculiar disposition that caused the two young murderers to place him/her at the front of their list of victims? Whatever may have caused them to so brutally murder Brianna Ghey, it would be very hard to find any excuse for their actions, and as has been pointed out, Scarlet Jenkinson was darkly and perversely determined to take a life, for her own bizarre reasons. I also find it odd that a Head Teacher should be wearing a nose ring…… It may not matter, but it doesn’t seem much of an example to the young, on top of all the other things our children have to take on board these days. What on earth has happened!

@@itzbp9949sex and gender are two different things. It doesn’t affect my life because I don’t know any trans and I’m not trans myself, but by definition chromosomes don’t determine one’s gender - that is sex. If one has female characteristics and identifies as female then they’re female, biologically or not. If they aren’t hurting anybody who cares.

THERE IS NO LEGAL RECOGNITION OF A TRANS GIRL IF YOU ARE UNDER 18. SO THE VICTIM COULD NOT LEGALLY HAVE BEEN MENTIONED AS ANYTHING OTHER THAN A BOY IN A COURT. THEREFORE UNFORTUNATELY THE VERDICT SHOULD BE OVERTURNED.

Mother and Father are just as evil, lying to your son his whole life telling him he can be something he cannot. If they didn't enable his delusions and got him help he might still be with us. Sick parents that had a hand in his murder too.
