The saddest film I've ever seen at the cinema in 1966. I was 14 years of age and cried several times throughout the film.

Too bad I was born in 1966 hence I haven't seen the movie yet...

@@mattma96 Oh my. You can actually get it on a DVD, I also have that plus read the book multiple times over the years. Yes, its sad in some parts but I do believe you would quite enjoy the film. Good luck, and have a lovely day Matt.

What a wonderful movie. I show this every year to my 10 year old students. And they love him as much as I do.
Este es un claro ejemplo de que , si se les ama , los animales son agradecidos.

I was about 12 when she gave this television series, I was immediately fascinated not just because it is based on a true story, but also because of all the love for this fantastic feline, which is why my beloved cat named Elsa his honor.

Saw this film at the cinema back in 1966 with my mum (I was 15) and we loved it. Wonderful story, great actors, nice music and of course the star - Elsa. Lovely film for children to watch too.
Brian is Brian, Free is like a kind of euphemism for the imagination. Born Free yes. May the universal kind of freedom follow us till our dying day. Universal Freedom says I'm Born Free. Brian~Koller

And life is worth living, because you're born free. People have forgotten that freedom is priceless but this movie and song remind you of a better time When freedom was our natural state. Give me liberty or give me death.

Nothing beats this movie for its love and tenderness. We are the kings of the food chain but animals are the kings of kindness and understanding. Never are they greedy, arrogant, selfish or materialistic. They only take what they need. We need to do more to look after animals. Just saying…….✋🏼

What a wonderful film! I can’t believe that even people twenty years my junior haven’t heard of the film ‘Born Free.’ It beggars belief! Everyone loves Virginia - even my late Dad, in the early days of video, recorded the film for me on video, trying to cut out all the ads. Now I have ‘Born Free’ on CD, to watch whenever I like. My Dad exclaimed that Virginia had class, whenever she appeared on TV. Bill is equally enchanting! I recommend that you try to watch all of Virginia’s animal films, if not the others - delightful! Hard to believe that Virginia turns 90 in June this year. I gave my lovely GP Navaz Hiramanek and family a special Christmas prèsent this year: the book ‘The Life in my Years’; a lion hot water bottle; a Lion mug and a key ring, as I was sure the family would enjoy the book and because she has been so good to me. Virginia is an amazing lady! Morning
