THERE IT ISSSSSS - I've been craving this sound forever! A refreshing take from their last few albums (Not that they were bad), but very nice to have some bouncy riffs and some VERY solid gating. Their synth work has been incredibly refined as well! Perhaps their remaster of the New Reign sparked a creative insight? Either way, I hope these dudes never stop writing! I don't get it. This song is chugging, followed by more chugging, with a few quick sweeps and pinch harmonics (over chugging), a chord here and there, and finally a solo towards the end. Played over more chugging. How exactly is this different. It's the exact same shit they've always done. It's better than TWDA and Soul Sphere, only because this sounds less mainstream, but it's just a super watered down and much less creative The Discovery.

OneSickDrummer Those aren’t sweeps it’s pinch harmonics followed by pick scrapes mixed with tremolo picked notes and open notes between the tremolo picked notes to create separation. It’s very similar to Rosecrance from The New Reign actually.
