Begotten is the English translation of Beget. The word use for "beget" in the Tanach is "holid" in its conjugations ("vayoled" means "and he begat", for example). The root is the same as for "yeled" meaning "boy". You see this word in, for example, Genesis 5, which lists the descendants of Adam and who begat whom. The word "beget" has a pretty clear meaning, which is to have the person as a child. Jesus is clearly not Jehovah Almighty God. But God's offering. John 3 16.

Great message, thank you. I do, however, believe that the original covenant was made at Mt Horeb, and then the stones were done on Mt Sinai, and that’s when the transgressions occurred while Moses was gone. But I read it that the actual agreement to the covenant was done at Mt Horeb. Thank you.

Shabbat Shalom! I was watching Michael rood last night about the importance of translation in the Bible. So when first Corinthians 15:20 says Yeshua has become first fruit of those having fallen asleep. Does it really say first fruit or did Paul meant to say first born? Because now on verse 23 it says all shall be made alive in Messiah and each in his own order: Messiah, the first fruits, then those who are in Messiah at his coming, then the End. So can verse 20 be right in translation that Yeshua is the first fruit of those who have fallen asleep? What then of the first fruits (plural) that it talks about in verse 23?? Is there Manu scripts that Yeshua is the first born of those who have fallen asleep??
@zachreyhelmberger8948 ай бұрын
Carefully study the famous John 3:3 verse. Carefully study "Beget", G1080, 'gennao', especially the metaphorical definition, and G509 'anothen'. Once you understand what it really means, mysterious verses like John 1:13, John 3:3-8, 3:31, 8:41, Acts 13:33, 1Corinthians 4:15, Philemon 1:10, 1John 2:29, 3:9, 4:7, 5:1 (gennao is used 3 times in the same verse!), 5:4, 5:18 suddenly come ALIVE with shocking clarity and simplicity!

When Israel was led into the wilderness, they came out of Egypt, after 400 years of being captive there. They lived, ate, slept, worked, as Egyptians, because they were slaves of Egypt. And when Yehovah led them out of Egypt, into the wilderness, they had already a knowledge of how Egypt worshipped their gods. I think it would have been a natural thing, for them to do what they did on the altar and devising a golden calf to sit atop the altar. They needed to be 're-educated,' in how to worship the Almighty.
@frankmickeyumeh43038 ай бұрын
then you need to point out the wrong woships they now do that need to be changed? do you know one?
@jameslanning84058 ай бұрын
@@frankmickeyumeh4303 Now? Yes... Because as they first butted heads with Yehovah at the foot of the mountain, they have butted heads throughout their history, to the present. We have the scriptures to record past error. In the days of Messiah, the Israelites had already left the clear and simple worship of Yehovah, and had developed their own religion, based on the ideology of the Ribbis, Priests, and others. The "Kabbalah," was a book of Babylonian ideology, they had collected and took away from Babylonian captivity. In His day, Yeshua called them "a den of vipers and serpents." Because they were ready to kill Him, and save their own religion, before He exposed them. Michael Rood tells us of the Jewish "Kaddish Prayer," that they would say, replacing the original prayer of the Mechesidik, prayer. Every mirical that Messiah did in the course of His ministry, was in direct violation of the Jewish Rabbinical laws THEY had invented, to replace the Commandments of Yehovah. You should watch the "Chronological Gospels," and get more details on all of this.

Carefully study HOW G509, 'anothen', is used in the Bible and Septuagint. In John 3:3, what makes more sense, "begotten again" or "begotten from above" ? Take a look at John 3:31, another example of G509 that makes it even more clear.

born /bôrn/ adjective Brought into life by birth. Brought into existence; created. "A new nation was born with the revolution." Having from birth a particular quality or talent. "a born artist." The phrase “only begotten Son” occurs in John 3:16, which reads in the King James Version as, "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life." The phrase "only begotten" translates the Greek word monogenes. This word is variously translated into English as "only," "one and only," and "only begotten."

Actually that's not how Hebrew grammatical gender works. I'd explain it to a five year old like this: "When we talk about genders in languages like Hebrew, we're not talking about boys and girls. Instead, it's more like sorting things into different groups, like putting toys in different boxes. So, when we say a word is "masculine" or "feminine" in Hebrew, it's not because it's about boys or girls. It's just a way to organize words based on how they work in a sentence. For example, imagine we have a word for 'spirit' in Hebrew, like 'ruach.' That word is considered feminine, but it doesn't mean it's girly or anything like that. It's just how the language puts it in a category. And guess what? When we translate words into different languages, they can change groups! Like if we have a French word that's usually in the 'boy' group, when we translate it into German, it might go into the 'girl' group instead. So, think of it like this: Languages have their own way of organizing words, kind of like how you organize your toys. Sometimes, words can move to different boxes when we use them in different languages. But it's not about boys and girls-it's just about how the language likes to sort things out!"

What is a woman?
@daviydviljoen93188 ай бұрын
@@jeremiahchapman9288 Your question is relevant to grammatical gender how? In German, der Tisch (the table) is masculine, but in Latin the word Mensa (table) is feminine. This does not mean that German think tables have any inherently male qualities, and Latin speakers think they have female qualities. The two words just fit into two very different categories (generis), which determines how they are used in a sentence. As for what a woman is.... I'm not playing that game with anyone. If you really get down to it, you can't say when a heap of dirt stops being a hill and starts being a mountain. Also, how do hermaphrodites fit into your binary categories?
