Shirlie Roden's Joan of Arc musical debuted in late 1985 at the Birmingham Repertory Theatre featuring Siobhan McCarthy as Jeanne D'Arc. It then transferred to Sadler's Wells Theatre with Rebecca Storm in the title role. Bill Kenwright directed the London run and this very rare clip is the song "Born To Be Fool" as the degenerate court of Charles VII, The Dauphin, mock his ambition of becoming the future King of a unified France. This musical has not been produced in the UK since the original Kenwright productions and is long overdue a revival. More details at www.shirlieroden.com
