The contemplative of Mary and the charismatic action of the Holy Spirit give us Jesus. God’s glory and His plan of salvation are a perennial grace. Aligning our will with God’s will brings about His dream for our lives. Jesus, I trust in you. Thank you Fr. Reehill.

Never really thought about that before- there are only three people we celebrate the birthdays of in the Catholic Church: Jesus, Mary and John the Baptist. Jesus never sinned because he is God, Mary was created without original sin and John the Baptist had the stain of original sin removed from him in the womb! BRILLIANT!

So grateful to have found you homilies, Fr. Reehil. I have been greatly inspired and blessed by your words. And will listen again. Look forward to viewing Masses said by you as well. You are such a profound priest. I have always listened to you when I see you on KZbin and I am thrilled to hear you at Mass. God bless you and fill you with His Love and Grace. May Mary bless you and keep you safe.

John the Baptist is one of two male saints who come before the Apostles in the Litany of the Saints, the other is St Joseph. I seriously think that the Birthday of the Blessed Virgin [September 8] should be a Solemnity, so that it does not disappear from the calendar when it falls on a Sunday as it did this year and will do so again in 2030. Some parishes got round this by unofficially observing it on the Saturday, as it is permitted to have a Mass of Our Lady on Saturdays in Ordinary Time when there is no other observance.

Fr Reehill, why do you think, The incredible movie 🎥 “I am The Immaculate Conception” left out the words of acknowledging John The Baptist leaping in the womb? … the movie is a triumph…& how they illustrated The Holy Spirit’s presence was wondrous…but wanted to know if you had insights or thoughts on it…though I do love that they had Mary & Elizabeth giddy & joyful with the conversation veiled from us … so maybe that’s when Elizabeth shared about John leaping/dancing in the womb … 🙏🏼✝️🌹📿🌹

St. John the Baptist being 'cleansed' by jumping in the womb upon recognition of Jesus is a tenuously frought proclamation of the absolution of original sin. And I'd venture not even necessary to the mission of his life. From my point of view, it lessens the Immaculate Conception of Mary. John the Baptist was a rough n tumble man but righteous and chosen. Does he need to be absolved of original sin to baptize Jesus? Are we Pharisees or something? Have we abandoned belief in miracles? God's will be done! He didn't need to be absolved of original sin to do his ministry!
