I remember when parkour was climbing up shit like assassin's creed now it just turned into this shitty thing where people jump over shit and do flips.

So, you don't know what parkour is, and you talk. Jumping is the most important part of the parkour, that I prefer call it "Art Du Déplacement"(Art of motion). You move as you want, if you like climbing, climb. If you prefer doing vaults, do vaults. If you are better to doing flips, do flips. The parkour is a sport with values of sharing, transcendence, liberty and security. Never mind how you move, it's for yourself.

Joe Falzar You obviously only know parkour from viral videos. What I was saying was parkour used to be from going to point a to point b the fastest and coolest way possible, now it has turned into this ugly form of doing back flips off walls in front of a camera. which removes the whole purpose of parkour, nice try bud.

I didn't learned my vision of Parkour with videos. I have the chance to live in France and I have met the Yamakasi founders in many workshops. I discuss with them, and they have this point of view about their sport : "nevermind how you move, be creative or efficient and have fun, but don't forget your values". Sure I don't like flips's combos ( #TeamFarang ) , it's obviously useless. But the guys from Born To Trace aren't abusing flips, and they are efficient in their moves from a point A to a point B. A flip is just a movement, we can use it, but it's necessary to remember it's not the only movement. By the way, do you practising Parkour ? I think not, or maybe you are a purist. But you must know the fact that the Parkour of today is not exactly the Parkour of David Belle or the Yamakasi founders. For example, even David's disciples ( team Parkour Paris ) are incluing flips in their movement, but not just to do flips's combos. Remember bud, the success come from the try and the retry.
