A great way for you to end your season Matt! There is certainly a lot to be optimistic about for next season, despite the poor start and drop off mid season, you ended strong and was pretty close to playoffs. If you can keep this core team and add to it, you could very well be in with a shout for playoffs next season. Though I fear the gap might just get bigger and bigger for certain teams. You'd expect the teams who lost in the playoffs, Sheffield United, Burnley and probably Luton to be in those top spots next year. Hopefully you'll be able to break into those spots! My Watford friends haven't spoken to me about the football yet, I suppose they don't want to! 😂😂

Sometimes 2 players have an ability to read each other's game, Boro's attack with Ayling remind a little of Zenden and the young Downing. Lets hope we keep these players.

McCabe will be nowhere near a first team regular, that was a runout against a team playing for nothing. Need to keep Hackney and improve on Howson who can’t keep playing every week.

The midfield falls to bits without howson. Hackney without Howson next to him is like a headless chicken half the time

Law Mccabe could compete for Hackneys position if he gets a good pre season, he looked so comfortable and had a very good start debut
