David Wenham did such a good job with playing Faramir. I mean just look at that face when he sees the body of Boromir. You actually believe that he has just seen his brother floating by, dead. In fact every single actor did a fantastic job with their roles. Great franchise, great music video.

God I love 1.24, his face is so amazing. David is such a great actor. He really made me fell in love with Faramirs character. He is so familiar to me, I felt really connected to Faramir in the movies and the books because we are alike in many ways. The song fits their bond really good. Boromir lives on in his brother. Who loved him more then anyone in this world.

However, when Faramir's horse returns to Minas Tirith carrying a seemingly dead Faramir, Denethor gives into despair thinking his younger son, whom he despised , is dead and he acted as if he cared for him all this time. It even led to him trying to burn himself and his son to death so that they could die together .

No matter how many times I watch Fellowship, Boromir's death always reduces me to tears. Faramir's confrontation with his father does too. Both these characters were so good and so well acted. I know Faramir is not faithful to the book, but I can almost forgive that because his character arc is excellent, and the acting is first rate.

At least, when Denethor is criticizing Faramir, Boromir defended Faramir from their father's harsh words and instead of becoming like Denethor in personality, he became a better example for Faramir. It would be better if Denethor had died and both Faramir and Boromir had live. Faramir and Boromir's bond can never be broken despite Denethor's constant favoritism of Boromir and disdain towards Faramir.
