Hello Jennifer! It's so wonderful to see you! I didn't distinguish both the words. Thank you so much for the excellent explanation! If I had a car, I would lend you it. The second question is so difficult because I am so far from you. My examples: I. - My dear freind, I wanna live with my girlfriend in a new appartment. Can I borrow 300000 dollars? - Sure! I can lend you that sum. There is one condition only. I think that an annual interest must be at least 35%. Does it make sense? II. Could you lend me your pen? Could I borrow your pen?
@JForrestEnglish

"Teacher Jennifer, why is it that when I listen to you speak, I can understand most of what you say, but when I listen to American dramas, movies, or talk shows, I can hardly comprehend it? I can only catch a few words. Is it because teachers intentionally slow down their speech or avoid contractions, elisions, and so on? Or is it that the North American accent is easier to understand?"
