He is a Legend. His songwriting was really unorthodox in the way he wrote a lot of his songs, like Happiness Is A Warm Gun or Strawberry Field's Forever. His song's can be really powerful, beautiful, political, personal, brutal, tender and just absolutely brilliant. ✌️

John is so underrated as a rhythm guitarist! He keeps a solid beat! It’s amazing how each Beatle injected 25% of the total. They were an entity! The sum of the parts were bigger than each individual!

I think John made even greater records in his solo career, George had a couple too. I don’t think they needed each other as much as die hard Beatles and in particular Paul fans seem to think they did. This was a decade after they split, is all Lennon and is phenomenal

John lennon has always been regarded as a top rhythm guitarist . He can also play lead to a very very hight standard but it got over shadowed by his singing/songwriting

I play rythmn guitar a lot and i think Lennon was a really good rythmn guitarist. He played guitar since he was 14 and when you think what all the Beatles learned playing 8 hour's a day in Hamburg. Then in the Cavern. Lennon was already a really good guitarist by the time they made their first single in '62. His live playing of All My Loving is really well played. Also, there's a lot of tracks where you can hear Lennon's really great rythmn playing.

Couldn't of said it any better. John was always my favorite as I've played rythem guitàr ever since i saw The Beatles at the cow palace sàn Francisco august 31st 1965. His songs had so many great meanings it crazy to think who but only John could write. John lives on as he was there then and still today and many many more days then we'll all see

If you go one by one, you will find Paul wrote more songs released by the Beatles. John didn't want to be rushed, and Paul was so full of "martha My Dear" surypy sweet songs, he just filled up the albums. He even tried to sound like John on songs such as "Helter Skelter". Paul loved to write, but he needed John to make his songs better.

John was having a resurgence in late 1980 and then a fiend decided to obliterate him. If the coward had used his fists, John would have knocked him out. When I heard about the incident on Dec 8th,1980,I went into shock.He and Paul had planned a collaboration in 1981 and that is something we will never have now. The title and lyrics of this song are chilling due to events.

If he had kept his balls he would have divorced Yoko and started to write some good shit again... like he did when he was away from her and with May Pang. Walls and Bridges came out of that period; bloody brilliant album. Bloody Yoko... worst thing that ever happened to him. Mind you, Lennon oscillated between genius and asshole... the way he treated Cynthia and Julian sucked. He could be such a bastard... but, when it comes to artistry, better a bastard than a woke dweebish beta. He thought Yoko was his muse. Nah. The real Muse left him.
