I've heard somewhere that rough collies have borzoi blood in them. Queen Alexandra of England received some borzois from her brother in law, Tzar Nicholas II, she bred them with her collies

I've never seen a tugwar game this calm and pleasant before. It's like they're both hanging in by sheer stubbornness and it's more a game of testing the other's will and persistence. Can almost feel their eyes clashing there lol.

The 27th infantry regiment was given this animal as it’s mascot and call themselves by the name “wolfhounds” - the Russians, themselves did this. “No fear on earth” is the motto. That’s what the Russians saw in the 27th and in the wolfhound. An amazing story goes with it. But they have kept a steady line of wolfhound mascots that they hold in highest regard ‘since receiving this honorable title. Kolchak is his name. The one I met seemed to out-rank me and acted like he knew it.
