BOS had its US premiere in Screamfest 2020. The forest is suspiciously quiet. The wind rustles softly through the leaves, the sun reflects on the moist soil, no animals can be seen. The only thing that disturbs this peace is the panting of two jogging teenagers. When they reach an open space, the tension suddenly arises.

Seems like this film purposely made me feel as if I couldn’t breathe, along with the characters. At first they’re running while breathing heavily and having plenty of air to inhale-exhale, then suddenly not being able to breathe at all. Made me feel like I needed to take a deep breath!!

What else did you want in the part 2?? They were running on a path, one went off road the other followed. They "Fell" into a body of water and couldn't get out. It's obvious that they never got out by the seasonal changes. No one would have been able to locate nor find them based on how they left the road or where they went in...

I actually feel this symbolizes the rush, foolish, desperate and adventurous nature of teenagers especially in the perspective of love. The forest might well be a metaphor for a world of unknown. And as we all know, most teenagers like to defy safety concerns and wants to "try things out" or think "they got this". It was until they decided to take the "risk" (might be a symbolism for sex etc) then they realised that theres no turning back and eventually drowned when its too much to handle.

This is so symbolic. Maybe the writer wanted to show that once you move from being friends to the next level, there is no turning back. Its sealed shut. And there is no way out. Literally. Maybe it's a metaphor on marriage and how suffocating it is underneath it. And so it's better to be on the surface.

The forrest is such a beautiful and mysterious place. As a result, the setting is a great place for stories. The outdoor shots were gorgeous in this film. When a story like this is vague I try to react with how it made me feel. I did feel sadness. The young couple go off the beaten path (risk), then there is flirting (hope, a look at possibility), then there is the water (taking the plunge, going for it), we have the first kiss (dreams, desire), and then we have the tragedy. There is a futility to the tragedy. Sadly, this can happen in life. An unexpected illness, an accident, or a life storm can take things away in an instant. So yes I felt sad. The message may be to appreciate each moment, each day, and each breath. Time is a gift and that is why we call it tge present. The two actors did a fine job relying on body language. The direction kept me engaged. Great job to all involved. Beautiful, haunting, and sad. Peace

Wanted more, hope you make part two now. All of sudden I feel like I was in the movie, first running to excercises and then all of a sudden fell in the hole and end up in water and at the end can't get out. Need more into the film now.

This was awesome. A simple premise masterfully done. I felt their fear when they tried to go back up to the surface and the looks on the actors faces sold it. You played on people's fear of drowning very well and the cinematography was excellent.

The bush is alive and it will take you any time it wants. weather you like it or not. You can get attacked, a widow maker can fall on you, you can die of hypothermia, or in this case, drown. I walked on top of a muskeg once and my dad freaked out when I got to the other side to meet him while hunting. You can fall in between the spongy plant growth that floats on top of the water and they will close up on you and it would be just like this film. I will never do that again!

This video reminds me of hunters that sometimes go missing because they fell into a bog and could not find their way out. We have many bogs around and you never, ever go onto one without a large walking stick..to help stop you from falling all the way in.
