I love how easily that brush comes out. Also, I really do enjoy a solid, straightforward, factual, useful, not-waffly video and that’s exactly what you deliver, so thank you.

It's quite impressive how that design has evolved, it's clearly derived from their Athlet range but with many tweaks and improvements (though this is lower powered model). I took my mum shopping for a new stick vacuum years ago when she moved into a small retirement village unit, was expecting to have to shell out for a Dyson but she preferred the Athlet as she felt the weight was better distributed, and it was easier to handle than the Dyson with all it's weight up top. She loved it so much I eventually got one for myself. Ours haven't failed at the handle contacts (for the switch) but a well known DIY fix is to shove a screw into it and looks like Bosch have incorporated that officially now. And you're right I got the upgraded model that came with accessories - it seemed a good idea at the time but after using them once they've stayed in the box, way too much hassle, they give you a shoulder strap but it keeps swinging around off your back and hits things, it's a blight on Bosch's design team and I wish I'd never bothered with the upgraded cost. I had to buy a smaller separate Black and Decker portable vacuum with a small hose attachment instead. The real disaster with these things is the non-replaceable batteries. It's disgraceful in this day and age that to buy a new 'accumulator' Bosch here in NZ want $300+ last I checked (the whole vacuum only cost me about $400 on special). There are a grand total of 7x 18650 cells in there (and not even great quality ones) which can be had for a few dollars each in USD pricing. Utterly disgraceful and although I love this vacuum I'm resolved to NEVER buy anything Bosch ever again. It's complete planned obsolescence and should be straight up illegal. I've opened one up and I can manage the cell replacements myself, but the vast majority of people will just bin it or sell it to some unsuspecting poor soul.
