I had a Bosh dishwasher for years and it was quiet and cleaned very well. I had one problem after about 5 years of ownership where it wasn't draining and was told that it needed a new control board at a cost of over $400. I was ready to buy a new dishwasher when I found a KZbin video which told how to fix the problem. I spent about $3 for the part and probably about $15 for a cheap soldering iron and solder and a solder sucker. Anyway, I had an old amplifier I was taking to be recycled and practiced removing parts from a board. When I was confident, I could remove the relay which was under sized, I removed it and put the new one in. It was still working about 5 years later when I sold the house.

Good machine, poor warranty service. Purchased an 800 model November 2023. Error code first week. Instead of returning unit, which I should have done, had Bosch provide warranty repair. Then June 2024, error code again. Had no choice other than warranty repair. Took 4 weeks to have parts arrive and tech to install. Tech installed new parts and noticed a small pin hole leak in factory seam. Took another 4 weeks for replacement to arrive. I had to hire installer at my expense and seek reimbursement for costs from Bosch. Took 6 weeks for the check to come. Uphill all the way!

I bought Bosch. Dishwasher about a year ago. It washes beautifully everything comes clean .one problem is it doesn't dry worth a darn. I don't know how to fix that it is not a good dryer. Some are dry like plates but not glasses and there are dropes of water everwhere. I have tried different cycles. All the same.

I just bought a 500 series for $1300 by the time I got out of there. Home Depot did give me an extended warranty with it. Quiet. cleans well. The silverware basket is smaller than it needs to be. My last Bosch an Asenta had a longer one. Also the touch buttons to select the cycles is kind of wonky a little to sensitive. Other than that so far so good.

Working on replacing our 2016 800 series now. Until recently, the only part I had to replace was the water recirculator/ heat pump. A piece of a straw got caught in it and burned it out. Repair was super easy. Recently, a leak developed in the back of the cabinet on the back wall along the gasket. Its not repairable and no tech has ever seen a Bosch fail like this. They are giving me a credit towards buying a new one. In 2016, the machine was around $800 then but now appears to be around $1300. Not sure which model I will get but heard from numerous techs that zeolite models have a high failure rate, right around the time the warranty expires (one year).

Wow, that is crazy! Well at least they are giving you a credit. Thank you for the comment!

Be sure to add the store’s extended warranty. Bosch will NOT honor the warranty. The computer boards are suspect and do fail. The repair agency in Saginaw had experience changing the boards on others. I followed every request by Bosch warranty and was denied and dared to sue for performance. In essence the $700 dishwasher cost nearly $1,200. Be careful, quiet isn’t the only reason to buy.

I have an opinion based on my latest install of the Bosch 800. First, whoever was responsible for the placement of the water supply fitting should be caned in the center of town. A plastic nipple located on the back of the unit with warnings not to over tighten. Plastic? Instead of using plastic and warnings how about possibly a brass or other stronger material. It would eliminate the need for the warning that keeps Bosch from replacing broken plastic nipples that are ridiculous. And plastic feet ? The price is high and quality is low

No video sponsor love heart for you. The reviews on most dishwashers today have some horror stories and Bosch is NO exception. The first thing I look for is an override to "ECO" settings.............these are usually what KILL performance. I'm currently shopping to replace a 25-year-old Maytag.

I just bought the Bosch 500 series, and seeing this video makes me feel like I should be concerned. I bought it because of bosch’s reputation for power tools, and the Mrs. Seemed to like It. Now I’m wondering if just made a $1,500.00 mistake.

My 6 month old Bosch didhwasher flooded my kitchen floor. Bosch said it could not repair because it lacked code sticker on door they needed to identify parts. Even though warranty says if dishwasher cannot be repaired they will replace. They refused. I argued they were responsible for. making sure their dishwasher left their factory with the necessary stickers side of .door. No repairman I called could do any repair because they could not identify parts. Bosch customer service extremely rude. Basically, they said, no sticker no service.

Also there were two small parts that we had to purchase in order to install the Bausch dishwasher, I don't understand why they were not included with the washer, they weren't expensive parts but necessary for the dishwasher to work correctly, We didn't understand why those small parts were not included, especially since we paid quite an extragantly high price.
@pennymodern4 ай бұрын
Interesting. I did get mine installed and delivered by the retailer and think I too, had to pay for an extra hose or cord or something. Yes you would think everything is included.

Can't you remove the wine racks? It looks like they can snap off
@MichaelIZ12 күн бұрын
Your pre-rinsing of the dishes may be the reason your racks are rusting so quickly. That is pretty severe rust for only 5 years of use (I live in an area with hard water and even my last cheap-o dishwasher didn’t have anywhere near that sort of rust after 5 years of constant use). Without enough “food” in the washer, you’re essentially overdosing detergent. The detergent is abrasive and wants to eat away at things; without enough food for the detergent to use itself on, it’s eating away at your dishwasher instead. It’s not just the racks but all of the non-metal components that are going to be eaten away, you’re dramatically shortening the lifespan of the dishwasher. I’ve seen this first hand as my parents have had two identical dishwashers next to each other for 17 years. The one seldom used and with light loads is the one that is rusting in many places on the racks, the one used every other day with normal loads has almost no rust at all… again, after close to two decades. When there was a mechanical issue the service person told them the same thing- the excessive detergent had actually been the cause for the mechanical failure as well. Either you should stop pre-rinsing and instead just scrape large chunks off your dishware (as the manual recommends), or reduce the amount of detergent.

Your utensil basket is twice the size of the one provided on the latest iteration of the 500 series. I guess they really want you to use the top tray.

@beedlenate1012 ай бұрын
12/4 Update. Full length silverware holder Does work :) with newer dishwashers. It's just a little flap that sits on the top support of the lower level pull out. However, I have experienced some issues with it getting caught on the inside seal when I go to close the lower level. I just push it in around the seal and it doesn't seem to affect the cleaning process.

I don't like the baskets in the Bausch, the dishes keep tipping over, they don't stay up , I took my baskets including the silverware container from my LG dishwasher in order to hold the dishes and bowls etc. , it's doesn't say End like my LG did, I'll have to say too bad my LG panel broke and LG refused to let my husband purchase and install it even though my son is a plumber and his friend an electrician, and install dishwashers all the time. But I do miss my LG, I'm not crazy about the Bausch at all, especially the price, it was very expensive not worth the price
