Bosch maxx 6 washing machine, E17 error code fix

We were getting an intermittent E17 error code. This is how I narrowed down and fixed the problem

Had the same issue with Bosch vario perfect 2. I increased the water's pressure that fixed it. As well a video without any ad very rare. Liked thanks a lot.

I thought E17 indicated there's a leak with water filling up in the bottom, which you empty with the filter vent you pointed at in the beginning. So this is actually a water pressure issue?

I keep finding Brian Harvey in my wife’s washing machine also 😂 our machine is on the water mains and not from the loft, so for us I don’t think this is it. We are going to try replacing the valve where the inlet is. Thanks for the upload anyway 👍🏻

Quick question. How do you get rid of the error message. Does it need resetting some how, or does it just sense the pressure is good again and resets it automatically????

It was for this one, I think it can cover a few issues, I always start by cleaning out the filter but it didn’t fix it on this machine

E17 is a filling error indeed. Our house is plumbed such that the cold water feed is from the water tank, not the water main. Therefore it's low pressure and does not fill the machine in the required time. There's no fix for this other than hugely expensive re-plumbing of the water supply to our kitchen. This makes the washing machine unfit for purpose in the UK as so many houses are plumbed this way. I have contacted Bosch but they say that the machine cannot be adjusted to give a longer fill time; apparently this is down to EU Law and all manufacturers will have the same problem.

Its like water pressure. looks like a false pressure error. water pressure is good filter clean but error comes back. probably calc blocked
