Bosch PKP 18E hot glue gun. First look.

Welcome back to my workshop 😁.
Just a first quick look at the #Bosch PKP 18E hot glue gun.
I am in the middle of a project and my trusty old #Wickes hot glue gun as finally pushed its final stick... I've only had it 15 years 🤣😂🤣, so i needed a new one fast.
I opted for the #Bosch , so this video is just a quick first look.

Nice one Frank. I’ve been meaning to get a hot glue gun for a while but there’s so many out there, I didn’t know which one to go for. That’s sorted now thanks to this video. Cheers😀

There probably is better ones, but it’s never easy knowing how much to spend on any tools. But for the price you paid, other than it’s inability to stand up, it’s ticking all the boxes. On a positive note I can kill two birds with one stone by trying it out by making a stand for it. I’m easily pleased😂😂

Hi frank good gun like the long nozzle, but i went for the dremell it stands up easy and you can pull the lead out the back of the handle then it becomes a cordless for hard to get to places, bosch is good.

Hi Frank... great review... I have the same gun ... I replaced a cheap and nasty one... the nozzle is really good when trying to reach awkward spots... the stand is useless... take care...All the best.....Andy

I've just brought the parkside one from Lidl comes with a good stand and case it was only £7.99 time will tell how long it lasts but does have a 3 year warranty.

Yeah, my glue guns doesn't stand up as well... its very annoying. Great review my friend. I need to get one of that brand. The ones I have are the cheap ones from Walmart lol... Greetings from Maryland my friend 🎈🎈🤝

You may be able to make your own sandpaper if it sticks gravel.

Why don't you want to stick gravel Frank ? 🙂 I buy in loads of glue guns for our Design & Technology pupils and the best we've had up to now are cool melt guns but the sticks of glue are a bit more expensive. Yep ours never stand up so I have heat proof boards and get the kids to lay them down on these. Take care David 🙂👍

I appreciate you've had yours a few years now. Just received on today. The bosch seal was slightly torn on the box. My nozzle is in 2 parts a silver ring separately but it looks like yours is attached as one piece. It is dripping and dripping constantly! I expected a few drips when warming up but it is constant. Would you say it is faulty?

😁 Hi Emma. It looks like my nozzle is in one piece, so that doesn't sound quite right. Mine will drip when I've been using it for extended periods... but not continually. Sounds like yours may be over heating. The bottom line is, if your not happy with it then you should send it back and if it is over heating that could be an issue. I don't know if that helps 🤔. A Bosch tool for a score? Can grumble at that. Annoying that it won’t stand up but as you say, you’ve got the skills to make a stand to solve that.
