The Bosch GLM 80 has continous measureing. Just press (func) and than the measure(arrow) button, after you tured your device on.

Regardless, I've not found the feature on the Bosch, it's easier to use on this device which significantly better value. My option is Bosch is not better just more expensive
@Amouselives3 жыл бұрын
You're still not getting it, you should want to get your facts right, pushing the function button till it reads "the dotted lines and up arrow" isn't something you have to find. It is there, we told you it is there, the manual says it is there, and if you push the button, it clearly does it. What is "to find"? I'll leave my thumbs down as it is since it seems justified if you are going to spout non-factual things about your "reviews". Not to mention asking for comments if you missed anything, and when we help you better the review, you disregard it because you feel like it. Moving on, you're not going to improve.

My point is it the bosh is not intuitive, in my opinion. I can't correct the video even if I wanted to, this is what the comments section is for, appreciate the banter though

How do I calibrate my LM50A? I can’t find my user manual. It’s around 5mm off over just a short distance. Thanks in advance.
@bodgeitwithbrian3 жыл бұрын
With the unit off, press and hold the off key and press the power button at the same time till that part of the menu comes up. But I found that what fixed mine as it was drifting was giving the lens a clear in the same way you might clean a pair of glasses. dust affects it's acuracy

for bosh just go to settings and change how it measures I have 2 of these the new one is the blaze, and it has rounding instead of getting a 32 of an inch you can get 1/8.

Thre is no doubt, you can spend more and get a higher quality tool. The Hueper is pretty good bang for bucks and probably wouldn't buy a Bosch again

Most of these laser distance meters are useless outside because one can not accurately determine where they are pointed. I note that the older Bosch unit had a set of physical "sights" (would be called 'iron sights' on a gun .. even if they are plastic). It is not a new concept. People have been doing that for centuries on magnetic compasses.

Thank you for the review. However, in no reviews of these devices I have seen the accuracy of the device in its full distance measurement. Do you have any idea about the accuracy of the device at its maximum distance measurement?
@bodgeitwithbrian3 жыл бұрын
I think my one is the 70m version although I suspect they are all the same and just a software change. I have had to calibrate mine over time which is an easy job. It feels like it drifts a couple of mm but then I cleaned it and back to good again. I would guess that if you put a few tapes up and laser measures you will get a few different answers, so which one is right. For me this device balances pretty good with convenience and I use it tape double check when it's important they never far apart
@marcusmattau73343 жыл бұрын
@@bodgeitwithbrian Ok, thank you. I know that even laser beams stray off a little at measuring long distances (even though a good laser beam doesn't by much). But, I wasn't sure if these devices are perfectly accurate lets say at measuring 160 feet or measuring 90 meters.

Great video. Been using this while building a small building. It's ridiculously good. It struggles in bright sunlight, as most laser's do. I did a test over a 100ft tape and it was within an inch, may have been tape not running true over that distance. It also came with a reflective rectangle that actual works well when firing over a long distance. I stuck this on a tree and was able to hit 300ft outside.

Thanks for the great comment. I really rate this little gadget and for the price of rather have a few of these instead of one Bosch. I'm keen to test their laser levels as well, might be nice to see this in a kit of measuring tools at a good price. Thanks again for the comment
@EastyUK4 жыл бұрын
@@bodgeitwithbrian I agree, I actually bought it with their 3 way laser level. I've been using the distance measurement to get the laser parallel to structure, then you can hit items and position patterns really easy. Always give some things a bubble level check and I'm getting a lot of confidence in it. I still use an old rotation laser level for setting grade and Z. The rotary laser certainly wins in outside sunlight use. The only thing I could add to the 3 way level is ab xyz easy sliding tripod head it takes a while moving a tripod around for the fine adjustments.
