BOSE 300 Acoustimass Sub Woofer Repair | How to Video | Diode Replacement | Video Instructions

In this video we are fixing the BOSE 300 SUB WOOFER. It had given up on and needed to be either thrown or repaired and thank the Lord it wasn't a big of a job.

That B2100A Schottky diode is connected in the secondary of that flyback transformer. It's the one powering up the ALTAIR05T-800 pwm controller ic which produces the 5v output thru the flyback transformer , Schottky diode and capacitor.

Friend, I changed the diode and the light didn't come on. Can you tell me if I have to assemble the board for the light to come on?

Diode has to be in correct manner. I did same mistake, I installed left instead of right. It is sensitive as it affects the flow (positive side)

@@letmereviewit It didn't turn on, I'll do it again. I'm just connecting the power cable. Do I need to connect the 2 flex cables for the light to turn on or not? Thanks

This fix didn't work for me :( Mine will not display any lights when plugged into power. But when I plug aux to the unit. It connects to the app and sais it's there , but won't produce sound. If I unplug the aux, light goes out , and it cannot be found wirelessly Has any one experienced this ???

@@Nofusscomputers Hey mate, just to let you know the diode has to be installed in right way as its directional. ie you cannot swap sides

@@letmereviewit thanks for the quick reply ! Yeh I have correct orientation of diode. It's strange. If I plug a aux cable into it, that's not even plugged into anything ... The light will come on .. but still won't allow wifi connection

My subwoofer lasts 8 minutes working normally and then it turns off and starts restarting until it cools down again. Will it be the same problem? Will it be solved with that?

I am not sure but you can try this trick. There must be some bad soldering thats causing your scenario
