I have had my Bose 901 series II speakers for 48 years and from time to time had to work on the EQ unit. Good quality except for the RCA jacks.

When I was in the radio biz I did just like you did and capped everything even the power supply caps... That way in 2 or 3 years I didn't get it back......Keep up the good work....

Listening to you on my Bose IE2 headphones that sound great! I got them free when I bought my Bose Solo TV sound system that also sounds great! I've been using them everyday for several years now. The sound seems to come from everywhere at the same time and sometimes sounds like it is coming from outside. I don't understand why people want to bash Bose all the time. But, I have not opened it up yet and took a look inside. My opinion may drop after that happens. But, so far so good.

Robert years ago Bose made awesome products , Paul Harvey himself used to advertise for them on his shows....Then the company went to cheaper labor sources in other countries..... Poorly soldered joints from SMD soldering machines are the main issue and cheaper parts, When I do home stereo equipment I choose the best audio caps to put in .....

Just a curious question. Why did you not clean the corrosion off the board? C12 and C10 look the worse. I always try to mitigate/repair any leaky cap residue from any boards that come through my shop... is it just a waste of time based on your experience?

MCM electronics. But now several years later, I reccomemded the "blue ESR meter" you can build it as a kit or order it fully assembled.
