I am an old school guy, 71 yrs old. You are my kind of people and I appreciate watching you work and I admire your shop and tools. I have many tools and have worked with my hands on wood and mechanical devices all my life. Thanks for the video. I do have a set of Bose Companion 2 series 2 which have just recently blown. I appreciate the Zippo lighter fluid hack. That's great, thanks.

I've been looking for a replacement for the stereo i had in the Army (Germany) Big Thanks for this video! I've got a line on some Bose 501's & 901's, a Revox 12" reel to reel, a Luxman turn table , Luxman 507 pre-amp & 80 watts per channel amp. I was going to buy new speakers for the cabinets but now I'll look into this method. The L.P. is making quite a come back! Time to start recording REAL music again! You know, Jimmy, Janis, The Doors, Quick Silver Message Service, and so on! Thanks again!

I just gave away a 6 piece set of Jamo surround speakers… they worked perfectly but, my 5.1 Pioneer amp is not compatible with inputs from my satellite system. It’s a shame that they quit respecting backward compatibility when they went digital! Progress! Yep, if you’re in the business of selling new digital sound systems….

I had hopes that Bluetooth would solve all that but the industry seems to be trying to force us into newer goodies :)

Lighter fluid did the trick here. You might try "goo gone" and careful using a flat blade to pull on the grill. Good luck.🤠

I dropped my speakers on the ground and hear nothing now. I fear a wire broke or something.
@SirTools

OUCH, could be just a wire, if you're lucky. There is a cross over circuit inside too..
