Thank you for this review. I was going to purchase these because I have QC35's, but after reviewing the wire-only options on some features and the need to have a 'hub' controller, I opted to seek out a new pair of QC35's.

So I am trying to confirm here - it has all these features, but the one thing it does NOT do is allow completely wireless listening AND wireless microphone - is that correct? That in order to use the microphone it must be hardwired in to its included docking station - am I understanding this correctly? Or if it DOES allow completely wireless microphoning, you end up still wearing a tied-up cord dangling from the left headphone because it doesn't look like it optionally detaches from the microphone boom attachment (the cord that would normally be plugged in to their docking station device). Scenario is this - work all day on PC including online conference calls joined over ISP - wired connections are fine. Then working out during lunch and listening to music on my iPhone via Bluetooth - wireless is needed. BUT a call comes in to my phone while working out - is their mic allowed here wirelessly or not? Dangling wire from mic attachment or not? Appreciate your help

The dongle mic only operates wired into the hub. The headset has a separate built in mic for taking calls when operating wireless. Obviously it isn't anywhere near the quality of the wired mic but it does the trick for phone calls.

What about adjusting ANC. Can you turn off the ANC?

Yes.

A couple of questions. Does this work wirelessly if your computer doesn't have Bluetooth? Will plugging in the mic dongle station into the computer make it so that work wirelessly just without the mic? Would you say these are a lot better then the Corsair Virtuoso SE? That's what I'm currently using but highly considering an upgrade. Thanks!!!

No. Bluetooth is required for wireless and when gaming I always recommend running wired anyway. Wireless outside of Bluetooth headphones for portability is little more than a marketing boon. The Virtuoso is a decent headset, but keep in mind that Corsair is not an audio company, and that adding RGB to literally everything is an industry fad at the moment. Obviously Corsair makes great stuff, and I've owned much of it with my many PC builds and gear over the years, but again an audio company they are not.

@@GramophoneMD Appreciate the reply! I purchased them a few days ago and gave them a try. I was was disappointed. I was really hoping for something that would be a lot better then the Corsair SE but other then the mic being a lot better and insanely good noise cancellation it just wasn't doing it for me. To me the Corsair being plugged into USB sounded better then the Bose headset which I was honestly not expecting. I'm not an audiophile so I don't really know the differences to much so I'm probably wrong but it just seemed more crisp and better base in the corsair. Also being wireless is a big plus. I read that it might be better in USB due to it having a higher range or something like that I guess it gets up to 96000hz with 8 channel and 24bit. I honestly don't know exactly what all that means but maybe that's why it sounds better to me. I do think the Bose is a better all around headphone since I won't be brining the Corsair with me on a plane or something like that and it has no noise cancellation. To be honest though I don't really care too much about the noise cancellation. I was still interested in getting a better headset and I'm fine with spending up to 500$ for one is there any others you'd recommend that do wired and wireless gaming better then Bose. Do you have any suggestions? Thanks!

@@zacharyspencer2285 All companies have their "sound" and the Bose one may not be for you and that's a okay. Give the JBL Quantum One a try, unfortunately they are USB-C wired only, so they won't serve your Bluetooth needs. I bought a pair for one of my best friends and he loves them. Whereas the Bose are more relaxed, they are more of a "fun" timbre. In the event those do not do the trick, try the Audeze Penrose or Mobius.
