I found a pair of Bose QC 35's in silver at the local Goodwill Outlet store where everything is sold as is, which means you are taking a chance buying electronics. I think I paid about $2 for them. I replaced the ear pads and charged them up and they work perfect. I went back to the same outlet store about a month later and found a set of Bose QC 35 II's in black. With the exception of the ear pads wore out, they looked like new. Put new ear pads on them and they work perfect.

I put em on today in an electronic shop, I was just there smiling. All the noise was gone. And I don't mean that it got a bit more silent, it is _gone_ ! Like literally not recognisable. It was this very moment that I decided to not get a new phone, but get some really good headphones. Can't wait to buy em
@oDiProductions8 жыл бұрын
That's an awesome story! And great choice, I would choose premium headphones over new phone any day of the week.

Max This is exactly how I felt! I've sensitive hearing and I tried these on in the mall. I was immediately met with relief and even euphoria. The noise disappeared, and I smiled so wide without even noticing it until seconds later. Such a peaceful moment. Needless to say, I saved up money and purchased them right away. :) Best investment I have ever made. Public is now less daunting.

One word of warning if you're thinking of purchasing these headphones; The rechargeable battery is not user replaceable and BOSE currently does not offer an option to replace them. Being that the battery will eventually die, you may be stuck with basic functionality unless something is opened up by BOSE or aftermarket solutions are offered. Some may not mind the potential limitation if you replace your headphones every 3 or 4 years, but I tend to keep mine for a long time (The pair I'm using is 10 years old, and the only reason I'm buying a new pair is because of noisy neighbors). This is a big part of the reason I went for the now heavily discounted QC25's. Good luck!

Hey mate, you have talked indirectly about the ear fatigue..... from next videos please make sure you make some very straight comments about ear fatigue and how many hours we can listen before the ear fatigue kicks in, while comparing headphones or reviewing. This is one of the most important feature buyers are looking for when, they are investing second time after using beats or any other headphone in the market. I hope you take it as a suggestion ... thank you

I tested it in store with my S6 via Poweramp where I had the Equalizer on a good Bass configuration, I use everyday on my Bose AE2W and the Bass on the QC35 is just so much harder and better than many other hesdphones and especially good for Bose Bass Standards
@oDiProductions8 жыл бұрын
Hmm interesting. I think the bass is solid stock (for Bose standards as you mention) with a good source (at least iPhone). Good source + EQ should be a good improvement.
@NieColall8 жыл бұрын
***** Well, this is no Apple Hate, but without an Equalizer you just can't rate a headphone, because you lose much potential. The settings in standard audio players (either iPhone, Samsung or other Androids) is set, to fullfill ALL music genres and if there is someone like me, who listens mainly to Hip-Hop/Rap, it can't be satisfied with the standard audio-player. That's, why an Equalizer is so important.
@oDiProductions8 жыл бұрын
EQs are important, but does the average person use an EQ? The answer is no. So the headphones get tested as stock. Do car magazines modify cars before reviewing them? To unlock the potential? No. Because the average consumer will only be driving stock.
@NieColall8 жыл бұрын
***** I get your point, but does the average consumer spend 350+ €/$ on Headphones?
@oDiProductions8 жыл бұрын
You wouldn't think so, but the QC35 is currently a top 5 "best-seller" under Headphones on Amazon (technically #8 but 4 of the top 8 are the same earbuds), the largest ecommerce retailer in the world. This is surprising, although the QC25 was the #2 best-selling over-ear headphone before the QC35. 5 years ago, kids just wanted video games and toys. Now there's 12 year olds asking for $300 Beats for Christmas xD

Your review convinced me to check out the Bose QC35 today. I've owned the original QC15 for almost 6 years and they still run like new. Durability considering they look flimsy has been AMAZING. The cord is the biggest nuisance so I'm really excited about checking the wireless functionality. Also curious about the sound quality improvement between the QC15 and QC35.

Great sound. Unable to charge and have bluetooth on at the same time. Workaround is to use the auxiliary line provided so you listen to music while charging. Note: sound cancellation feature deactivates while in charging state. QC35 corporates well with foam ear plugs to completely cut out external sound while trying to listen to music and study in a noisy environment. Consider getting extended warranty.

Hey friends i purchased and tried finally. I was so curious about If I buy a cable with control buttons what happens. Because the original cable has no button and if you use original cable, you can't use microphone on headphones. The good news is you can use a cable with mic and volume control (--of course you have to select Android or ios control and one jack 2,5 mm and other 3,5 mm--). With cable you can use your BOSE with ANC or passive mode. So you expose less radiation :) For example I use Sennheiser Urbinate XL android cable and Bose qc35 headphones together. Sometimes I use my Bose wirelessly but I use my headphones with cable especially in a long period usage.
@mohammedashfaq37348 жыл бұрын
One major problem I have with the QC35 is that NC can't be disabled unless you have it wired. I would prefer to use just the bluetooth connection whilst listening to my music at home. Unfortunately, NC & bluetooth both work together. Imagine enjoying these headphones upstairs and you are being burgled downstairs. That's why I prefer the MDR 1000X as it has a customisable NC function especially with ambient sound.
@oDiProductions8 жыл бұрын
I'm with you. Both the competitors Sony MDR 1000x and Sennheiser PXC 550 have an option to turn off NC while listening via Bluetooth.

Could you please test and share your experience about next issues? - how these headphones pairs with laptop (including case when phones are off and then on, while laptop is on)? - what is experience of usage of headphones with such apps on a laptop as Skype, Hangouts etc? (some Bluetooth headsets turn into mono low quality mode, but how about these ones?) - what is the Bluetooth range when using with laptop? - in case of wired connection, will mic work in case of connecting to laptop? Thank you in advance.

Sony and sennheiser have better bass but after hearing over half an hour it's kind of fatigue and too heavy bass for my liking. bose qc35 have better sound balance and comfortable over long hual.bose it's a better overall package.

watching these with my qc25's thinking about selling and upgrading. But the battery does get to me. I'd rather instantly replace the battery on a flight rather than charging it in the situation where i haven't charged it adequately. Great review nonetheless!

Portable battery supplies are so cheap now though? The Anker battery chargers are high capacity and cheap. Charge your phone and tablet too... I use one for charging my gear when travelling
@oDiProductions8 жыл бұрын
Appreciate that man! Yeah I find it a bit of a surprise considering a lot of current Bose customers value the external battery so much. Either way, the charge on the QC35 lasts a LONG time so unless you're flying overseas often, it should last. And like Damian suggested, portable chargers are pretty cheap these days as well.
@ashishasawa83168 жыл бұрын
When using QC15, I also like the battery when travelling, but for day to day use, I find it cumbersome, as have to used the battery charing, so appreciate the QC35 with internal battery, and it charges up very quickly, only downside is the weight difference, but after one week I get used to it.

You know like a lot of people talking like Sony mdr1000x beats Q35 in sound quality like more bass, anc switch off. But nobody talks about the issue with bad quality of materials used in sony. And everyone who is wondering what i need to get Sony or Bose. I would highly recommend to buy Bose because this brand is all about the quality of sound. NATURAL SOUND. And you can't think about which headphones are better in noise cancelling. Because as you know Bose makes headsets for AVIATION. And thats the major plus for BOSE company. :)

Very nice review. Would you suggest Bose QC35 or V Moda wireless?
@oDiProductions8 жыл бұрын
Thank you! Ooh tough call. They're both really great and pretty much at the top of the class for wireless headphones. I would say it boils down to music preference and how important noise-canceling is to you. If you like bass-heavy music, then the V-Modas have superior bass response. If you travel often, then the noise-cancelation and comfort of the QC35 is unparalleled.
@kyshark18 жыл бұрын
+ODi Productions thanks a lot for your inputs. Really appreciated. Since I already have AT M50, which is quite neutral (and I love my M50) I was hoping to get a bass heavy headphone as my next pair. I'm inclined towards Bose just wasn't sure if the bass was good enough or not. Also its incredibly hard to find V Moda to try on before purchasing.
@oDiProductions8 жыл бұрын
Ok if bass is the focus then V-Moda M100 all the way. The Bose doesn't have as much punch and impact as the M100s. If you really want a TON of bass, there's also the Sony XB950BT which is a fun headphone with Bluetooth as well.

Thanks for the review. Does the active noise cancellation mute low level background sound when watching movies?

About a year later, are these still worth it ? Tried them in a store and oh my god, i love them, and find them superior to the sonys and sennheisers when it comes to comfort and isolation, and just overall joy in using them. Or should i wait a bit to see if Bose are gonna come out with a new version?

Glad to hear that with care these Bose 35s can last for years. So what is cost of battery replacement when they wear down? I have been led to understand that after 12 months if the batteries need replacement you are out of luck. Is this true?
@oDiProductions8 жыл бұрын
I can't comment on battery replacement because the QC35 is still so new that they aren't getting replaced yet. With that said, as long as the battery isn't defective (which would fail within the first few months), the rechargeable batteries of today will last the lifetime of the headphones. I think many people are too concerned with the battery when literally every other premium device is rechargeable these days.
@oDiProductions8 жыл бұрын
Oh and just to clarify, when I say "lifetime" I mean if the average person keeps a pair for 3-5 years or so. Obviously not forever lol
@josephdragan77348 жыл бұрын
So for the record and to clarify Bose will replace the battery if it starts to fail within the 3 to 5 year lifetime. But how much will it cost after that time expires?

I just bought these, and I feel like I'm the only one who feels uncomfortable when using this active noise cancellation technology. It feels like there is a pressure on my eardrums. It feels like I'm on an airplane and my ears need to pop. After wearing these for a couple hours my ears actually did pop several times when I took them off and yawned. It can be quite uncomfortable when the ANC is on but I'm not actually listening to any music. Why am I not seeing this mentioned anywhere? Is it just me?

I really like the music you use for the background.

You know I always wondered about wireless Bluetooth headphones. Would it be possible for someone to hack into your signal from your phone to listen to your music? I hardly think it's possible, not to mention why anybody would have any purpose to do that. But, what I am curious is can two people listen to the same music in two different headphones? Can you connect to two different Bluetooth signals from your phone?
@oDiProductions8 жыл бұрын
I think you need a device called a "Bluetooth splitter" to connect to 2 devices at once. By default I don't think it's possible, but I never tried it myself.

Do you think it's worth the upgrade? I currently have the QC 25. I love my headphones. Personally, I didn't really think it was worth the upgrade. Would love to hear your thoughts or anyone else's thoughts. Thanks!

I have Bose QC 25 and loved it, but having wire all the time seems uncomfortable. I like this Bose QC 35 and planning to upgrade but heard that there is a massive complain about the Power button being broken with a light use. Has Bose came up with the solution yet on this problem?
@oDiProductions8 жыл бұрын
Hmm I never heard of that problem, but anyways, you get a 1 year warranty and they'll replace it free of charge. Then the 1 year warranty renews on the new pair as well I believe.

I am between the Bose QC 35 and the Momentum 2.0 Wireless I am mainly listening to Rock and a bit Rap as well as some Pop and I mostly ride the train and Bus All comparisons I visited are mixed.. So what do you guys say.
@KraljHD8 жыл бұрын
I think that the momentums have more bass, so since you listen to rock and rap that would be better for you. Personally Im buying the qc35, Ive wanted the soundlinks 2 for quite a while now, but now that they made the qc35 its like a gift from the heavens from me. I think both are excellent headphones and you would be satisfied with both of them :)
@oDiProductions8 жыл бұрын
I agree with the above, the Momentum is more suited for your music tastes. They're both excellent wireless headphones and you won't be disappointed with either one.

I'm sold! Now where do I buy them? Every store I have checked only carry QC35II. 35II has all sorts of bells and whistles that I don't want. I have even checked eBay and amazon. If any one knows where these can be purchased, please post it so that everyone that wants a pair will know where it purchase them.

Thank you very much for your review. I do have one question, I bought the qc35 and they are just awesome, but I recognized that the two fixing points of the right ear cup have s little loose (when you press this point with the fingers you can feel that they have some waggle and no tight fight. Is that normal? Thank you very much in advance, cheers Mark
@oDiProductions8 жыл бұрын
Appreciate it! Hmm if it only happens with the right earcup and not the left then might be a loose screw. I wouldn't worry too much about it but if it gets really annoying then call them up and I'm sure they'll send you a new pair.
@MarkDeu8 жыл бұрын
+ODi Productions Thank you very much for your fast replay :) does your headphone earcups ankles have a tight fit? Or are they a bit lose as well? Thanks in advance, cheerio Mark
@oDiProductions8 жыл бұрын
Honestly mine feel pretty solid for the most part. There might be a little give if I really try to tweak it but nothing really loose here.
@MarkDeu8 жыл бұрын
One more question to this headphones... please be honest :-) Do you hear in absolutely silent rooms a hiss of the noise cancelling? If so, how laud is it (easy visible to hear)? Thanks you very much in advance, Cheers Mark
@oDiProductions8 жыл бұрын
The QC35 does not have much of an audible hiss at all. It's pretty well executed
@Reticuli8 жыл бұрын
Will these reduce background music at a club when DJing? I'm also concerned with the cord and its entry point.
