@ Yes, for the same purpose. I gave the Bose Ultras to my wife who still had the first gen QC earbuds. However, If given a choice - with Ultras and these QCs at the same or closer price point - I’d pick the Ultras.

My best compliment I can give wireless earbuds is, 'I can hear things i never heard before'. I have Huawei, Jbl, and they both provide this quality of sound.. I mean on recordings over 50 years old! I had BOSE just arrive and I refuse to take them out my ears. Huawei has best detailed highs but lacking in base. JBL has bass boost- just not enough. BOSE BLOWS THEM BOTH AWAY... and I actually did not adjust anything (except turn volume down a bit).

I've been using them for just a week and can tell you that these are plagued with connection issues just like all of their other earbuds. Also, while they added some things to this separate app, it still has issues connecting with both of my phones sometimes and if it does connect it's extremely slow. Imo the biggest improvements they made are the battery life and the touch controls but can't they advantage of those with the continued connectivity issues

I have the Bose QC II and have an issue with the call quality. Unfortunately, after a year of use, it fell apart, and the left is not working anymore. I bought Sennheiser Momentum and Sony WF100XM5, and I'm not going to lie, the sound quality of Bose is one of a kind, and that is something that I miss. I am conflicted between getting this instead of the QC Ultra, which I am traumatized to get if the issues with the call quality still persist and the durability is in question.

I have a brand new pair and in less than a day had a connection issue. Was I pissed or was I, and then to find out others have had this issues too (from another video I watched). I like them well enough, but maybe return and get the Ultra's but I think the QC's have a bit more listening time, app features I like, etc. I hated my Apple Pro's I had a few years back. These are great compared to those. I don't think anyone makes the perfect set to be honest. Sad we can't try them all before buying as they are all expensive. Good video and thx. One last thing, the cable they provide is absolutely ridiculously short. It also is my opinion. It should’ve been USB-C on both ends. I no longer have any kind of charging brick that uses the old USB-a type plug. It’s 2024 so get with USB-C all the way around .

Quick question if you can answer. I got the qc ultra buds heavily discounted open box to the point it’s the same price as the qc buds on sale. When I tried to run with the ultras, the ANC thumps or something happens where you hear huge thumps in your ear, particularly if your heel goes down. Do you know if this happens with the 2024 quietcomforts?

Got a great deal so can’t complain The ear fit is hit or miss, have a different combo for each of my ear I call em my Frankenstein buds, sticking out like those bolts from Frankenstein’s neck lol ANC is great, much better than my AirPods pro 2s, theyre like wearing foam earplugs while listening to music or podcasts Also I like the ability to program different taps for different functions- like volume control for my right bud and play/pause skip for my left bud

Do they sound better than airpod pros??
@DiamondHead20102 ай бұрын
@@waltsofly I’m not a huge music person so my opinion may not be valuable if you’re looking for a side by side comparison for music. I had 2 sets of AirPods Pro (one from work and one personal) my work set crapped out on me so I was looking for a replacement - mainly for productivity - podcasts and phone calls. I finally got the fit right on the bose, just needed to twist lock it better AirPods Pro are awesome for simple everyday use, can do everything well, and pairs seamlessly across Apple products from phone to MacBook The Bose have been great as ANC pods. The programmable taps are very useful for me. Like I can change volume/ noise control/ start stop by tapping with a knuckle or fingertip vs having to pinch my AirPods - helpful when hands are dirty. Overall first impression quality feel goes to AirPods, Bose feels like a tier below plastics. But after awhile I don’t pay attention to that anymore My AirPods have lasted me over four years and dropped em many times..don’t know if the Bose would last in the same treatment End of day it all depends on what you get vs how much you pay. Got a great deal on the Bose, you can even get AirPods Pro 2 for $170-190 now

I ignored the app install when syncing for the 1st time. I want to see what they are like without having extra software to run....just basic stuff. I have had Airpod pro's and they fell out a lot. Eventually, one went down an auto flush toilet....and so that ended that experiment. Now I have the Airpod 3rd Gen standard model and this is the best fit for my ear since Apple ever introduced them. The Bose seem to fit my ear nice. I Drive for a living using just one bud, and then switch after a few hours to keep one charging. I'll check back after a week on the road.

Thanks for the great review. The outcome is a bit of a shame. I was thinking these would be a better value than the Pixel Buds Pro 2 which are $229 but having used the Pixel Buds Pro 1st gen for the last almost 2 years and generally being underwhelmed by them for their original $199 price point, I felt the Buds Pro 2 won't be worth the $229 price. With these Bose though, the durability you mentioned is definitely concerning. I use my buds, whichever ones are in my rotation, on a daily basis, primarily at work and it's surprising that a company with Bose's history failed at the basics of designing a durable set of earbuds. I'm also not a big fan of the larger design but as long as it's comfortable then that's the main thing. Have you used the LG Tone Free T80s before? I got a pair for a really good price and they are currently on sale for $149 and I'm really happy with them and I feel like not too many people are talking about these.

Bose wants to make money while keeping their qc ultras in a higher price pt than the qc earbuds 2024. But we are seeing this everywhere in the bose lineup. They renamed the bose 600 smart soundbar to the bose smart soundbar. Qc45 became the quietcomforts. The soundlink was upgraded to soundlink 2 but same shape. On the other hand, bose is releasing lots of new colors for each headphone and earbud and speaker.

For correction, these new QC Gen 2s do not have LDAC codec in them. Does one of your buds make an alien sound type effect noise when ANC is enabled? You have to be in a completely quiet environment to hear it

@Noir_Baa3 ай бұрын
The fit is pure garbage...it's just as awful as Bose's buggy software and their incompetence with said software. I'm not surprised that they essentially said "screw it", and attached a new companion app to these earbuds. The fit, the most important part of any earbud, is the reason why the QC 2 and QC Ultra didn't work for me. Bose has this "idea" that that useless "stability" band will actually offer some stability for the earbuds when it comes to them staying in your ears. As I said before...not for me - they fall out no matter what I do, and the sweat that accumulates from the earbuds being in my ear for any amount of time only accelerates this infuriating experience. The weight of their obnoxiously large earbuds can't be offset by those flimsy "stability" bands, and I tried all sizes...so there's that. I don't know why they are afraid to return to that superior wingtip the 1st gen QC earbuds had...the "stay hear" thing. Most of everything else about these earbuds is a step in the right direction...outside of their questionable software and mics. But...I will never know because without a competent fit, nothing matters. Speaking of obnoxious size...I know they wanted to press reset on their earbuds...but they shouldn't have settled on that obnoxiously huge, prehistoric case and earbud size that the 1st gen QC earbuds has for these earbuds. Starting over doesn't mean reinvent the [unpolished] wheel.
@TheFrenchGlow3 ай бұрын
The wingtips did work so well and we saw that the Beats fit pro improved it.
