@@t.terrell7037 you do prove a good point. However, when it comes to TW earbuds, one of the biggest things that needs to be done right is portability. If you want the beat sound quality, you are best off going with a set of over ear headphones.

Hi, great review as usual! Been waiting for this comparison! By the way, my sony wf1000xm3 phone call doesnt sound the same like yours. Mine in real noisy environment always picking up ambient noise and almost none of my voice, the other person on the phone always telling that they barely hear my voice, till i give up using it to make phone call (now I'm using edifier nb2 for phone call and it sounds much clearer for phone call)....

Bose has amazing hardware, but what always makes me hesitant to buy is their terrible software. No EQ, less customization, Master Slave, and more lag than I'd like. I'm gonna wait for a price cut or to see if Sony announces XM4 buds.

I have the Bose QC and i have no lag on mine like i did with my bose soundsport free wireless. Plus if you want EQ customization all you have to do is down a EQ app simple

@@thatsbigdave ironically I got these earbuds a week ago once I saw the volume controls were working well and most of the bugs were fixed. I enjoy them. Still wish it had eq (i don't like needing more apps on my phone) and more touch gestures but overall I'm satisfied. I daily drive Galaxy Buds + anyway.

I've never had my wf1000xm3 fall out but I am very lazy and rarely seen doing anything vigorous. I also use the special Comply tips for Sony wireless buds, they are very effective. I find the battery lasts slightly longer than the 8hrs specified without ANC. I don't actually bother with ANC much so no idea how long it lasts. I make use of the ambient pass through when required and find it very useful. I hope Sony makes an xm4 with LDAC.

Hi dear. Thanks for giving your great review. I have been using Bose Soundsport Free (the predecessor). I just want to clarify If these new Quietcomfort earbud have similar issues that almost every Soundsport Free user faces in daily life. As I live in Middle East, the soundsport free gets frequently disconnected outdoors in sunny environment. Is that the same case with these new quietcomfort? How about Audio phone calls, can we hear them from both earbuds or is it limited to left earbud only like soundsport free? Any Lag issues you have noticed on KZbin with new ones? I would highly appreciate your answer as I'm planning to switch to these new earbuds

The fit on the quietcomforts is fickle. My right ear seems to hold the bud in and securely just fine with either the medium or large tips. In contrast, my left ear won't let the bud stay as still/tight as the right and I hate the way the ear/wing tip combo is designed because they don't go into my ear in such a way that the audio comes through evenly. I've played with the fit on either side and the way I wore them according to the instructions was actually blocking out more of the overall sound, which made the cymbals and high hats (not to mention the fullness of the bass) sound dull. I'm going to try and force different eartips on them to see what that does. Disappointment for otherwise perfect sounding buds...

I have the Bose, WF-1000XM3 and MTW 2. First off, in real world all 3 works well with ANC on. The Sennheiser sounds the most detailed with the best sound stage but it feels boring to listen to. The Bose just sounds flat with little bass. I'd probably sell it off soon. The Sony is the cheapest among the three, it has slightly recessed mids compared to the other 2 but they sound energetic and fun to listen to. They're the ones I use the most often besides the Airpods Pro which I carry for the portability.

Thanks for the review and comparison. The Bose sound way better than the Sony that is clearly obvious with regards to ANC and in-call quality, however, do you think that Sony's sound is that superior when it comes to music? For the most part, it is the sound quality that I aim for, especially Bass, although the application for the Bose doesn't have an EQ, I have already created my own sound profile using the built-in equaliser on my Galaxy Fold 2 and Galaxy S20 Ultra and that overrides most of my other earbuds EQ sound settings. I am torn between the Bose and Jabra 85t's at the moment, will you kindly do a comparison or the Bose and Jabra's if possible. Many thanks and great work Aaron 👍

Thanks, comparison with the Jabras is coming soon! As for sound quality, I feel that the difference between them is night and day, but for some people, the priority might be on ANC and call quality.

I am testing the following at the moment: Bose qc & bose sport Jabra 85t Sennheiser momentum 2 Pixel buds (will be here tomorrow) My thoughts so far are 1. Jabra 85t best overall (sound is similar to Sennheiser, very comfortably) 2. Bose qc best ANC and secure 3. Sennheiser best sound (most uncomfortable) Waiting for pixel buds now but so far I'm planning on keeping the jabra's as they tick most boxes...

I definitely think Bose sounds better. Sony’s signature still seems more focused on base. Bose feels wider and open and to me like being in the concert hall as music is orchestrated. Sony has never felt like that. Lol

There always seems to be trade off. Great ANC with decent sound or great sound with decent ANC. I have yet to know of the perfect true wireless earbuds. That is why I have yet to purchase any true wireless earbuds.

Sony is better. Flatter more thumpier sound. You can hear everything clearly, you also have EQ available and DSEE HX. Any comparison between Bose vs Sony, will almost always result in Sony taking the crown. Don’t waste your money on Bose, they are consumer level quality not for someone who likes to listen to music. Bose noise cancelling 35 ii sound worst than Sony earbuds. I’ve used both, that’s how I know. No wonder Audiophiles hates Bose, music just sound like turd on Bose products.

Gotta say man the Bose Bluetooth for me hasn't been great might have just got a faulty version but the one I had the Bluetooth in all areas wasn't good connectivity or distance wise and I found that while the noise cancelling was good I think it would be better with an in ear design , considering switching to the Sony's either these or the newer ones

I’ll be honest here. I have Sony and what a crap they are if your ears are not the right shape. Constantly falling out, quite uncomfortable and good only for if you sit still. I used better tips as well as original ones are a joke. The foam ones are slippery as hell and the rubber ones are just poor. You need to push them deep in the ears making them sweaty and uncomfortable. Bose are great for comfort but I had 2 pairs of qc30 and they simple fell apart after 12 months despite extreme care the 2nd pair stopped working after 1 year too. The adhesive used on these just stopped working and everything just fell apart.
