Bose Smart Ultra Soundbar vs Sony HT-A5000: The Dolby Atmos Soundbar Showdown

I had the A500 and just got the Bose Ultra, the Bose blows it out of the water.

Just got the Bose on Prime day. Wanted a Sony bar to use my A80J as the center channel but no one seems to speak highly of them. What I really want is a great standalone Atmos bar (no sub no surrounds) that with great fidelity and sound bubble. I do not need powerful bass, just want to have a full soundstage at low volume. The Bose bar seems to check all the boxes. I have always like Bose sound. This will be my 1st Bose product.

The Bose is still in the box. I also picked up Ht-a5000 to try. I have used it for a couple of days. It is just ok so far, not impressive enough to keep. There is little to no surround let alone Atmos effect.

The s center channel hiss and popping are real. As many have said, a center is not refined enough.

I have the Bose Ultra and for me is an amazing soundbar yes is not perfect and is is kind of pricy but right now is one of the best out there, and you forgot to mention there is holes for mounting brackets when you remove the rubber piece at the bottom

Have u compared it to sony ht a7000?

Wonder if this new soundbar actually works with the Samsung frame smart tv. The bose 900 does not. Had to return it after 2 years of struggling. Take note, if you have a Samsung TV smart box, stay away from Bose.
