So over the last few months or so… bose has really been killing it when it came to their Soundbars and smart speakers meant for the home. But I feel that they have been neglecting their smaller, more portable speakers. But now we’ve got the Bose Soundlink Flex… now even though this thing does have a price premium to it… the Bose Soundlink Flex easily sounds way better than its direct competitors the JBL Flip 5 and Sony XB23.

Great Review! The Bose Flex beats JBL Flip 5 and Sony XB23 by huge margin in sound quality. Would you be able to compare Flex against Bose mini 2 SE or Color 2? Also the Flex seems more like two Bose Micros were fused into one. It would be worthwhile to compare a Flex against two Micros(micros in Partymode)

@@JSVKK I ended up purchasing the SoundLink Flex from Best Buy to compare it to the Emberton, which I already own. It’s purely subjective when I say I prefer the Emberton as a package overall. The Flex is fantastic and a straight up beast for its size and price, but it’s almost too untamable for me, haha. I also prefer the Emberton’s aesthetics. I should point out the Bluetooth version makes little difference to me. In fact, the Emberton takes longer to find and connect to my phone and that has to do with its lack of Bluetooth Low Energy, something the SoundLink Flex does have; Bose really have it well optimized which is why it doesn’t mean much to me that they still use 4.2.

@@jadyassine8484 I bought emberton last week from ebay, What i like about emberton is it's brick shape design.I didn't like it's loud guitaric's sound when power button on/off.Sound quality is good as stereo sound system. I compared it with tribit stormbox micro which has better clean vocal sound but it's not comfortable to listen as emberton.For music emberton is better than tribit , to listen speeches at low volume tribit micro is better.

I sold my marshall Emberton and got the soundflex. The main reason was that the Bose has a speakerphone to take calls which was awesome. Plus it sounds a bit better than the Emberton. If you don't need the speakerphone you can keep the Emberton though.

3:07 I think that bose is claiming its battery life with 100% volume use - my Soundlink Revolve 1st gen has claimed 12 hours, but in my testings, after 12 hours of playtime with 50% - 60% volume, it drained maybe 30% or 40% of battery, so the battery specs are not accurate
