Fascinating lecture. There's surely reason for optimism regarding the future deciphering of the Meroitic language which would be a tremendous breakthrough.

I watched the video from beginning to the end. I am Nuer from South Sudan. There's been a debate for centuries where Nuer people originated. Our Ancestors passed historyfrom generation to generation that we came from a big city called meroe, we came to Khartoum then to Bahrelgazel.

from what i understand it's not far from juba though i know that dinka's originated from geziera honestly it's a shame there isn't as much research into this area of the world
