Celebrations swept the formerly besieged Bosnian enclave of Bihac Tuesday while soldiers were feted in the former Serb-held Croatian town of Slunj.
Croatian and Bosnian government forces liberated the two on the weekend as part of a wider Croatian military campaign to recapture Krajina.
Civilians in Bihac are now looking forward to the first U-N humanitarian convoy to enter the town since May 1994.
Croatian celebrations are raging strong in the former Serb held town of Slunj.
Croat government forces recaptured the town on Sunday during a lightning and successful offensive to drive out rebel Croat Serb forces from Krajina.
Guns were fired, and more guns were fired as the soldiers victory celebrations reached fever pitch.
Elsewhere in Slunj, Croat soldiers settled down to celebration drinks, their battle had been a short one but a highly successful one.
Old friends reunited. They had been divided for four years while rebel Serbs occupied the land.

In Bihac, an air raid siren rang through the town, but the residents did flee as quickly as they used to.
It used to mean heavy bombardment, but the Croat army and the Bosnian fifth corps have secured the town from four years of Serb attack and the residents of the town are liberated.
Like in Slunj, soldiers in Bihac celebrated.
