@bakersmileyface8 жыл бұрын
Skyrim's terrible at showing it. You'd have a better idea after playing oblivion. But of course barely anyone who has played skyrim has played oblivion.
@Lisiralei8 жыл бұрын
bakersmileyface its obvious that the skyrims locks, even admiring smithing skills that people can achieve, that the locks are trivial. In skyrim, i believe, there is rakes as the lockpicks. Oblivion does not show lockpicking better than skyrim, its never that easy to knock a pin into place, because you dont just knock them. And you do understand, that the game do need easy-to-pickup gameplay. And in skyrim there is a way to pick every lock first try, there is a unique sound when you set pick on the very middle of the spot, but it is really hard to tell from other noise
@bakersmileyface8 жыл бұрын
Lisiralei Oh I agree that Oblivion doesn't accurately represent lock picking. But it definitely shows it better than Skyrim. In Skyrim it looks nothing like raking. Go and look at skyrim lockpicking again. You spin the tension wrench around until you hear a click and then you just rotate the lock to unlock it. How in the world is that raking? At the very least I have never heard of any technique that works like that. If you can find me a source as to where that would work, please do share it with me and correct me on this of course. But still. At least Oblivion at least shows the general idea of what lock picking is like. It's not that easy to knock a pin in to place as it is in Oblivion, but at least in real life the whole idea is to actually knock the pins into place.
@brollona39488 жыл бұрын

+IAA015 You need a blank key for that lock to make the bump key. He stated he had no key.

mattJT87 for the most part just imagine which way you'd turn the key and apply light force in that direction..

Cointelpro intelligence operation or the like maybe. I see a lot of these people. They clearly have a script(s) being followed using clever language and hand gestures. It's a form of psychological manipulation. Also it would be plausible for them to show you this to conceal their real intentions.

You are amazing! I lost the keys to my (Master) hitch lock and couldn't find them anywhere. I was pretty sure this lock can't easily be cut off as it inserts into the space occupied by the ball on your hitch and it's quite substantial. I was searching for some way to drill it out, cut it off, or anything, and I found your video. I watched the whole thing once, grabbed a set of lockpicks I inherited, and less than TWO MINUTES later, I'd picked the lock! It was my first pick ever! AMAZING! THANK YOU!!!!!

I would love to get into the hobby but I have a question. I have tried researching on the internet but I keep coming up with a lot of conflicting answers. Is it illegal to own lock picks without being a licensed locksmith? How about carrying them? Or once I'm better, would it be illegal to help open, sat a friend's lock?

Just bought my first kit because of spending my weekend watching you, I always wanted to start. Your videos are so detailed and watching you gut different locks made me really wanna get going. Just sat here and tried my kit out while watching and now I just opened my first (no safety pins I suspect) lock. Best channel ever, keep up the fascinating work!
