they're 14.5-16.5 If you watch the match play on Xtraframe, they show the actual bowling screen with the speed on there.

Analysis: Liz just wasn’t at her best, and Kelly won easily with two hundred. The right lane really drove Kelly out of her mind with 10-pins on decent looking shots. But she really didn’t deserve strikes on those shots. Here is how I know: when you hit the pocket don’t look at the right side, look at the left clothesline. The way that the 1-2-4-7 pins fall tells you whether you hit the pocket solidly or not. If the headpin goes over and lies in the left gutter you were a bit light in the pocket. This is simple geometry and it is a much better way of telling where you actually hit. In fact, the old time pros used to call the 1-2-4-7 your accuracy line. This is easier to see on the slow motion replays. So watch your left clothesline Kelly and you’ll see why you left all those ten pins. Ironically, on that same exact hit if your ball is coming in straighter and deflects more you can snap the ten out on that type of hit. But I digress. Kelly was going clean out of her mind on that right lane and really started fishing around. Her ball rep(s) weren’t much help at all because they didn’t understand how to assess a ball that is slightly light in the pocket. If they’d just watched the ten pin sliding over and lying dead in the left gutter they could have told her she was continually light in the pocket and maybe how to correct for it. Kelly sent out invitations for her own pity party and after a questionable ball change threw an awful shot and missed the headpin entirely. That was when she totally lost her mind and started tinkering with her release. While it’s commendable to make adjustments, Kelly was way in over her head trying to finesse the release and she lost the pocket on her good lane. She was making some of the worst shots I’ve ever seen her make and she never put any pressure on her opponent, literally handing her the match. (I’ve seen Kelly do things like this before, like the time she thought she could pull off standing in front of the ball return and doing a three step approach on the right lane while keeping to her normal delivery on the left lane. There are times when you just have to throw it straighter and that’s that.). Meanwhile, in the booth, CDB, though I like her a lot, had no idea what was going on with the right lane. Seraus bowled an impressive first game, but in the second one the wheels started coming off early on for her. I think she was just too jacked up mentally and physically and was trying too hard to obliterate the pins. I’ve seen a ton of female power players, but I don’t think I ever saw anyone trying to throw it that hard with that much hand on it. I think that if you’re trying to throw it harder and with more revs than Michelle Feldman or Nikki Gianoulias you’re barking up the wrong tree. Seraus simply couldn’t stop herself from pulling it down from the top and couldn’t get herself to wait to complete the backswing. That’s why her ball was going all over the place. Now I really like CDB in the booth, but she missed the fact that Seraus was pulling it down from the top and getting off balance by muscling the shot. Final match, Sin Li Jane started off relaxed and stroking it down and in, playing farther right and much straighter. She carried well, much better than the power player Kelly, and never faced any serious pressure from Seraus. I know this match is more than a few years ago, but I’m still glad a stroker came out on top. I think the modern game is tilted heavily towards the power players, and I’d like to see the pros, both male and female, bowling on conditions where hitting the pocket is at a premium and you get penalized for just mindlessly whipping it out to the right with as much speed and hand as you possibly can. (Special thanks to anyone who read this all the way through, and I hope your understanding and appreciation of the game has benefited from your patience!)

I’m unable to edit my previous comment so I will apologize for saying ten pin about one-third of the way down when I meant the head pin sliding over and lying dead in the left gutter. Thanks again to anyone who read the whole comment!
