just a friendly suggestion. It might help some beginners if you talk about each command at a time. I think there may be some individuals that struggle to understand your "why" for typing IP config etc. Also, explaining the role and meaning behind these abbreviations might help some others rather than burning through the lab-based off of the solution table

What’s advantage of using netsim compared to packet tracer ?

it tells you exactly what you got wrong and provides a comprehensive solution guide to every lab so you can really spotlight what you missed without having to go line by line thru configs or however you do it. pt has some weird quirks that arent on real hardware, and its not an issue with netsim

Yes! You can open the devices in seprate browser tabs to maintain the lab doucment side by side through dual monitors.

When I'm watching JeremyIT's boson netsim videos he has the Lab Document and Device Configurations in the same browser tab. It's like a split screen, one on top of the other. The only thing I can do is pop the device settings out in a new tab and it is a pain to have to drag the tab out to its own window and resize it every single time so I can see everything at the same time. How do I set it up like JeremyIT's setup? Or is there a way to print out the Lab Document?

In the referenced videos from Jeremy's IT Lab, he is using an older download version of NetSim that is no longer available. We are actively working to reintroduce this feature in future NetSim updates.

please add "clear" command. so the disorienting clunky bounce is eliminated when the prompt reaches the bottom of the terminal while you type fast. I have to type at a crawl pace to stop this from giving me a headache, since for some odd reason, it drops the refresh rate of my monitor

I've tried the demo,not all the commands are functional in the switch ? can you confirm , before the purchase, I want to make sure that everyting will work and prepare my ccnp correctly ,example: Switch(config)#vlan 10 %Incomplete command. Switch(config)#vlan Switch(config)#vlan

How do I get split view like in Jeremy's videos ,can't figure it out ,and it's just a time waste for me to click all the time from tab to tab ,how did he do it ?

This can be achieved by opening items (devices, lab documents, etc.) in new tabs and then dragging those tabs to the desired location and resized to preference. @@BosonSoftware should be more simple than me having to click 20 times and drag stuff around tbh,u should implement the split view option like in some previous versions,much easier to read line by line and do the lab ,just feels more organized ^^

Hello, I have tried the Demo version. I notice that I am not able to have topology and devices at the same page (Topology at the top and console command screen at bottom). BTW, does it have usage deadline?

You can open the topology in a separate browser window using the View drop down window. A NetSim license is for one year.

If I am at the beginning of my CCNA studies, should I follow the lab guides or do it without the lab guide? What is the best way to gain the most amount of knowledge? I have never configured a cisco switch or router before.

but you have to pay licensing to use virtual cisco devices. well supposed to. yes GNS is an emulation, and is lot less clunky (specially when the terminal prompt reaches the bottom of the screen)
