I know why Metal Man is weak against his own weapon. His blades are made of ceramic titanium, which can cut even through other metals. Considering how high he jumps, he's built with lighter metals so he can maneuver easily, so the light metal can be cut by his own weapon. How ironic. (Pun intended)

I used Crash on the Computer Virus boss to see exactly how much damage it does, and it inflicts 160 damage. (Which the Dragon and the Knight can survive) Marx has more than enough health to survive at least one Crash.

I said this when Proton Jon showed it (wouldn't be surprised if he learned it from you), but my favorite part about the Navel Piranha shortcut is how the developers reward you for executing that trick with Kamek's reaction and the magic explosions (even though he never cast a spell here). It feels satisfying because you skip a boss fight and get recognition for skipping. The problem with the Top Spin for me is twofold. 1.) It has such a short range around you, so learning how to use it takes immense skill. 2.) How much ammo it drains seems kind of unpredictable.

RedSalamander From what I've heard, someone figured out the energy drain for the Top Spin is related to the game's collision detection - the longer you overlap your target, the more energy is drained.

Indeed. The more you keep touching an enemy with it, the more ammo you'll waste. It doesn't require that much skill to learn how to use it anyways, just some patience and time.

I know I'm ten years too late, but Top Spin's one-shot capabilities are actually the result of a developer oversight. Top Spin has an active hitbox on every frame of the attack, and the developers forgot to give Gamma invincibility frames. As a result, using Top Spin on Gamma results in Gamma taking one damage every frame, or every sixtieth of a second.

A rather unintentional way to kill draygon is the speed booster. The attack that sticks you in place and sets you up for his grab can be used to short charge the speed booster. Use it to get a shinespark going and crash into him to kill him instantly.

Another skippable Kirby Super Star boss is Chameleo Arm in Great Cave Offensive, as well as practically the entire tower stage. Unlike the Eggerland emmigrants, Chameleo is totally optional if you don't bother with the treasures. Just head to the leftmost door at the start of the stage.

Several things are used to cut metal, but one of the most common ways is by using devices with sharp pieces of metal on them. That's why Metal Man is weak to his own weapon. There's your logical explanation.

And in Magicka, there's some fun sequence breaking one can do with the ninja robes' smoke bomb teleports. And for Fighters in Quest for Glory, you usually use Throw instead of the thief's Climbing or the mage's Fetch spell to Het to things out of reach, but this means you can throw rocks to do scratch damage. In Kirby Super Star, Marx can be cheated with hammer. Since you can summon an infinite amount of copy abilities thanks to the copy essence deluxes, it’s possible to use hammer throw, a powerful move that deals incredible damage but makes you lose your hammer over and over. This absolutely shreds through Marx, so if you were having any trouble this solves the problem. It also works great against other bosses in Milky Way wishes, such as Computer Virus EX

Shortcut: if you completed remote bomb kinstone request, those remote bombs will help you. fall after entering first big door. the Darknut wont come after you reached middle of the arena. that darknut may be pain in the @ss because it may, and can, push you from the platform and this will be very annoying. just use its tactic to it. a well placed remote bomb will knockback it to the edge of the arena and because the arena is in the sky, it will fall. While Top Spin is definitely useful against a lot of small enemies (not to mention pretty fun to use), I would say it's rather average. One of the reasons why it got such a bad reputation is because of a glitch which can drain away most of your weapon energy in one use. Luckily, Wily Wars fixed this.

This was awesome. My favorite two were the Phoenix Down (or Fenix Down in FF6 (also known as FF3 in the US)) and the trick in Super Metroid, since the developers made a specific way for the worst attack in this fight into the bosses kryptonite.

About Mega Man III's Gamma (1st form), contrary to what's said in the video, Hard Knucle isn't the only thing that works against it. I use another strategy: get under it (on a place where his projectiles don't hit you), and use Shadow Blade firing up (you need to jump to hit it). Great video anyway!

Navel Pirahna... yeah, I managed to 100% that stage without having quite gathered that you were supposed to bounce the eggs off of the walls and hit it that way. I didn't know about the short-cut kill either until much later. No, what I figured I had to do was grab one of the small enemies, NOT swallow it, and then walc closer to the boss and spit it out at the right time, so that it would hit the obvious weak spot. (I at least noticed THAT detail... :P) I can't say that it was easy, but by the time I succeeded, I was able to quite comfortably dodge any attack the boss could toss in my direction. In other words... it took a while. :P

Just popping in to say that you should do an update video for two reasons: (Spoilers!) 1: Yoshi's Woolly World has a similar trick with its Navel Piranha fight, except that you do it from above instead of below. The Piranha Plant will be tied up by the yarn ball as normal. Kamek will repeat his surprised line, before telling Yoshi there's no time for games and freeing the plant. I like this: it's a good laugh at series veteran's expenses. (As of this comment, Yoshi's Woolly World is only released in Europe and Australia) 2: Shovel Knight has a boss that's weak to his own weapon, too! Use the Mobile Gear at the beginning of Tinker Knight's first phase to kill him instantly. Unfortunately, you will still have to face the second phase still, but the arc on the weapon is great for killing him. Edit: I didn't know about #13...

Yes, but there's a hidden planet (which is literally called "?" when you are there) where you get the ability "Copy" (which you usually get from eating a TAC). The planet looks like a green star that is somewhat bigger than the regular background stars. It's also the only planet in Milky Way Wishes that isn't required. (The screen with the Copy ability icon is also kind of BS since there's no floor; you have to start flying immediately or you'll fall into the pit.)

In "Kirby Super Star Ultra"'s "The True Arena", if you kill Mr. Tick Tock, you can suck him up and use his ability against the Wheelie, your immediate next opponent. If the True Mid-Boss All-Stars is your first enemy, use the Copy ability on Mr. Tick Tock and you can use the Mike ability on him to insta-kill him, swallowing him up to use it again.

Haha! I'm surprised you didn't show the Gi Nanak Boss from Final Fantasy 7! He's infamous for being instantly killed by a Phoenix Down! :D But to be fair Final Fantasy 6's Ghost Train Boss is a great example too. :) I love Boss fights, they're IMO the most exciting parts about Video Games. And I tend to get disappointed when Video Games either don't use them at all OR when they get used so shabbily! :/
