How does this channel not have 100k+ subscribers? Genius way to demo a pedal online.

So much delay in one pedal. I've owned the huge flashback 4x and line 6 and keep coming back to this pedal for it's simplicity. Great demo.

I have flashback 4. It sounds amazing but its really really messy to use and I grow weary of the whole toneprint palaver

My desert island pedal. It's pretty incredible how versatile this pedal is... I don't think I could ever get bored of playing around with it. I swear every time I turn it on I find a new sound or trick with it. Great video! !:)

haha good choice! I wonder how many people would choose a delay as their desert island pedal? they're so much fun to mess around with! thanks for the comment :)

@@RyanLutton DD3 was the first delay pedal I ever played and I fell in love. It's still my favorite effect till this day. I learned along the way that reverb is something I really enjoy. DD-8 does both so it would be great desert island pedal. However if I was stuck there forever I would go with Microcosm by Hologram Electronics or Timeline made by Strymon :)

Hi Ryan,, Thanks for the demo. I have just started playing at 71 years young and I have just bought this pedal. I know absolutely nothing about pedals. Do I have to change the settings on my guitar, Fender Strat. when it's plugged in or does the pedal overide the guitar Tone, etc. I am really not sure how to connect this up properly. I have noticed that in the demo the check light goes orange but mine doesn't do that. Sorry for asking stupid questions. Kind regards. Greg.

This are buffered pedals, meaning that if they don't have power there will be no sound path from the guitar to the amp, so you should check if the battery has juice or the power brick works

Every video, showing the Boss DD8 on youtube, thus far, always not mentioning, that by adding an extra pedal, you achieve an extra effect, called Twist, and also controlling the tap tempo, although it is possible to do it on the pedal on his own. There's also, another "extra" by how you connect the cables on A and B output and input, not only achieving the stereo effect. Excellent Pedal.
@zachnelson39844 жыл бұрын
It's one of the coolest features of the pedal too!
@777shea1 Жыл бұрын
I love your demos. So clean, great playing, no talking. It blows my mind you don't have more subs. I'm new with pedals so this is a curiousity question--I understand this pedal can do stereo, but how are you running yours since your using one input, but 2 outputs? What is the 2nd output going to since I assume one is straight to the amp?
@anomalyyyy5 ай бұрын
A little late but most guitar players dont use amps anymore. He is probably going straight to the sound interface and simulating an amp via plugin or IR Loader

Do you use any kind of noise suppression?

no, not usually :) I use a boss noise suppressor on more gainy type boards sometimes though, why do you ask?

Great demo.. What's different between this and sustain??
@RyanLutton4 жыл бұрын
delay repeats what you play back to you at a later time.. (think an echo in a cave) and sustain is just how long a note lasts, its nothing to do with a repeated signal. think if you're playing a note and the note fades away too quickly, you can change that with sustain (compressor pedals are used for this) hope this helps man! :)
@tellstarrsixtwo71204 жыл бұрын
YT : "How many pedals do you wanna test ?" Ryan : "Yes." ;D A tiny suggestion...when you demo modulation/drive pedals, maybe embed them into a basic ambient setting (volume pedal, comp, 1-2 delays, reverb - all affordable pedals) after the main demo. Don't know if the most subscribers are ambient guitar nerds or its just me wondering how those pedals sound used the "ambient way" ^^
