In my opinion it's the best in this series (maybe because I really like the MT-2) haha. * I made these videos using the GE7 this way in order to demonstrate to friends that in a live show situation, if the amp stops working and we don't have an amp simulator, we can adjust the GE7 this way and go with the show. Valeu Leonardo! Não vai soar exatamente como um pedal IR loader mas dá pra quebrar o galho em situações de emergência. Eu usei bastante assim no início dos anos 2000 tocando na noite, até que a Tech 21 lançou o GT-2 e eu comprei um. Usava a simulação Fender e deixei o GE-7 pra boost clean nos momentos de solos posicionando após os OD/DS. Ou às vezes o GE-7 assumia a função de um TS9 como boost empurrando outros pedais OD/DS como fiz neste vídeo o GE-7 empurrando o Guv'Nor: kzbin.info/www/bejne/lZypqIBrbNN8ps0 / De qualquer forma por ter várias funções é um pedal nunca devemos deixar de fora do board pois podemos até mesmo posicioná-lo como último pedal ou antes das modulações, delay e reverb equalizando o pedalboard inteiro, fazendo correções rápidas ao vivo pra deixar o timbre perfeito já que em cada palco que pegamos o nosso som fica um pouco diferente por causa dos tipos de monitores que cada equipe de sonorização usa. É um ótimo pedal. Obrigado cara.

Recentemente tive a necessidade de tocar em linha e adquiri o Premp Uchôa (pq vi este pedal neste canal).Tenho também o GE7 no meu set, no entanto não sabia desta funcionalidade do mesmo. Gostaria de saber: 1) Existe uma diferença entre um preamp de fato e o GE7 na forma em que ele está sendo usado como proposto nos vídeos? 2) Como o GE7 pode ser cabsim, como neste vídeo, e tb pode ser cabsim e preamp? Seria simplesmente pelo fato da manipulação das freqüências?

Fala Rodrigo! Foi exatamente isso que fiz. "Manipulação de frequências". Eu conectei o GE-7 pelo send/return da GT-100 e mirei no Preamp/Cab Natural Clean da pedaleira. Ligava um e desligava ou outro e fui testando e aproximando o GE7 do Natural Clean até o ponto máximo que consegui o GE7 já tava substituindo o preamp/cab da GT-100. Não ficaram idênticos mas ficou bastante funcional. E eu já usei assim no final dos anos 90 começando na música em bandas de bailes, aprendi com um guita mais velho que tava saindo de uma das bandas que entrei. :) O Uchoa é muito bom e é um pedal dedicado a isso com saída balanceada e outras funções. Continua com ele e usa GE7 pra outra função como clean booster de solos por exemplo ou como um EQ normal mesmo pra finalizar o timbre no ponto. Abração cara! É possível cortando médios no GE7 e aumentando o drive do SD1 todo mas é uma manobra que matará o timbre clean e talvez o drive do SD1 não fique em níveis aceitáveis para esse tipo de som. Eu indico usar o GE7 como está no vídeo pois essa regulagem foi baseada no preamp Natural Clean + SM57 que temos na GT-100. Então teremos um timbre clean bem legal quando desligarmos os pedais de drive. Pra timbres na linha Slash, eu indico o GuvNor ou Boss BD-2 e o SD-1 sempre como boost pra empurrar um dos dois. Neste vídeo eu uso IRs no Cab Box em vez do GE-7 mas veja o SD-1 + BD-2 e o SD-1 + GuvNor como soam nessa linha Slash: kzbin.info/www/bejne/jKmVkIJ5dq1mrqM / *Corrigindo: No momento do GuvNor eu uso o Mooer Green Mile como boost, mas é a mesma função do SD1, seria a mesma coisa.

No final dos anos 90, eu tentava reproduzir o timbre do Nervermind do Nirvana com meu Boss DS-2 e não consegui. Então eu observei que o preamp que Kurt Cobain utilizava, o Mesa Boogie Studio .22 tinha um Equalizer e que ficava ligado o tempo todo. Então adquiri um pedal Equalizer para usar como preamp/booster e cheguei a um timbre bem próximo do desejado.

Top demais, no final na minha cadeia de pedais tenho um Boss Combo Drive (BC2) que já faz esse corte das altas pra ligar em linha, depois segue pra um EQ MXR10b KFK onde boosto os médios, esse pedal tem dois OUTs, uma vai pro mixer e outro pro amplificador. Estou pensando em trocar o BC2 por um GE7, o line de frequências dele é diferente, o resultado muito superior. Fiquei tentado com seus vídeos. Estou evitando ao máximo cair na tentação de pedaleiras digitais, já tive um monte, serão sempre os próximos equipamentos a desvalorizar absurdamente e dar problema num médio prazo. Não quero mais nada que tenha display kkkk. O GE7 no lugar do BC2 rola demais né, o que vc acha?

@@DirectRecordingGuitar Exato, o BC2, com o ganho no zero fica totalmente limpo, sempre gosto de deixar uma sujeirinha de leve no clean, coloco no 0,8 +-. A medida que vc vai abrindo o ganho vi crunchando até chegar no distortion. Ele "simularia" o Vox, não deixa de ser uma opção pra ligar em linha, (dá um ar de válvula) mas ainda precisa fazer uns cortes na mix. Gostei muito do resultado que vc tirou com o GE7, melhor do que css toneink e IRs mais baratos, com a segurança de não quebrar nunca na estrada, vou testar por aqui, valeu demais pela atenção.

Sim! Na estrada resolve muito bem. Usando o GE7 ao vivão, o som que sai pelos falantes do PA e monitores são muito melhores que esse do vídeo pois os falantes ajudam a timbrar também. Em estúdio prefiro os IRs, na verdade um ou dois que tenho e até já disponibilizei aqui no canal. Me ajude a escolher, emprestei um SD-1 e um fuhrman tube drive, achei ambos bons e seria um exagero comprar ambos, se eu usar um EQ depois do SD-1 vai suprir a falta de médios graves? Pra eu fazer o fuhrman soar semelhante ao SD-1 como booster eu coloquei o tone no max e um pouco mais de drive, só que soa um pouco diferente por não ser assimétrico, porém não seca os graves

Pô cara... :) ao vivo dá pra tirar um sonzão, fica melhor que no vídeo. Esse som dos vídeos da playlist do GE7 são sons "crus"... estão saindo dos pedais direto para a interface. Mas ao vivo temos os falantes dos PAs e retornos de palco. Aí o som chega muito melhor que nos vídeos. Usei bastante assim antes de começar a surgirem os simuladores na época do GT2 Sansamp. Hoje eu prefiro um bom IR. Uso o meu DRG V30 SM57 2x12 pra quase tudo e já estou acostumado mas o GE7 faz o trabalho também. Abração cara! Obrigado pelo comentário! Hi Even James! Because I wanted to use the two RV3 outputs and thus record stereo. We do this in multi-effects like the GT100. The preamp/cab simulator is before the modulations, delays and reverb so we can explore these effects in stereo form even in live shows using the two GT100's L/R outputs and sending it for two channels in the mixer. Each mixer's channel with Pan 100% L and the other with 100% R. So, we have a stereo sounds on the PA system.

Às vezes passo tempos sem usar, usando palheta normal e às vezes me pego usando a dedeira o tempo todo pra tocar tudo kkk No momento eu tenho uma Fender e uma preta que não sei a marca, mas houve uma época que tinha várias aqui. Depois que compro, eu lixo até ficar do tamanho de uma palheta normal porque as dedeiras vêem muito grande de fábrica.

Hi bro... I'm experimenting and showing subscribers that it's possible to use an EQ pedal simulating a cabinet, if that's needed in a live situation or rehearsals. I'm not claiming it's better than IRs. I use IRs. But when live shows return to normal here in my country I will use GE7 instead of IRs depending on the repertoire.

Hi Sahara. HD500x already has excellent cabinets. I made these Ge7 videos just to demonstrate to subscribers that an EQ can save a live show in case there are problems with the amp and it is necessary to use it directly in the mixer.

Fala Bruno! Eu usava assim no final dos anos 90 quando comecei a trabalhar com bandas e era ótimo (aprendi com a turma mais antiga). Depois começaram a surgir simuladores analógicos como os da Tech21 e muitos outros como o AMT F1, os simuladores das pedaleiras começaram a melhorar então eu fui deixando de usar o GE7 dessa forma. Lembrei por acaso há alguns meses ao ver fotos antigas e resolvi fazer esses vídeos: kzbin.info/aero/PLrxXQYEp-_ujya4KZkH13kvT0RJM4PEnA Mas não pude testar ao vivo com os meus ouvidos atuais :) devido à parada dos shows por causa da p4ndemia.

No amps and no later editions Josh. The Ge7 is acting as a cabinet. The sound you hear in the video did not come through any speakers. The signal left the pedalboard, entered the audio interface and was recorded by the DAW on the computer's HD. Once saved, this audio was taken to Sony Vegas and joined to the video recorded by the camera. The ambient audio that the camera recorded has been deleted. My Yamaha monitors were OFF when I record my videos. I'm always just using my headphones to monitor while I record. Rv3 is very good for me especially in live shows. I place them side by side with the clean boost solos. In solo moments just a single step on the volume boost pedal + RV3 (delay/reverb). If the repertoire requires more enhanced delays, I add the L6 DL4 or one of the multi-effects to the chain. But the Rv3 is always in my lead tones.

I have prob putting delay verb in the front, I find when i add a fist pedal before it, it gets distorted, I mean the decays and repeats. I use a lot of volume on my dirt pedals to push the amp into overdrive a bit. Maybe this is why? But the tone is so much better when the amp is cooking as with the pedals as aposed to the amp not pushing and just the pedals

Fala cara! Não é um uso "normal". :) Nunca vi ninguém ajustá-lo como um simulador de amp. Eu conectei pelo send/return da GT-100 e fiz ajustes finos até que o GE7 encostasse o máximo possível no Preamp/Cab Natural Clean da GT100. Após isso coloquei no set e usei ao vivo diversas vezes e foi muito bom. Abração cara! Há outros vídeos. Link da playlist na descrição.

Entendi. Eu quis dizer, nunca vi alguém aqui no YT usá-lo dessa forma. No final dos anos 90, quando eu comecei a tocar profissionalmente em bandas de baile ainda muito jovem, o guitarrista que estava saindo era muito experiente com muitos anos de banda e usava um GE7 com uma configuração muito próxima disso em linha. Como o set de pedais pertencia à banda, eu usei bastante assim. Encontrei umas fotos antigas desse board e tive a ideia de fazer o vídeo. Então fiz o processo acima de conectar na GT100 e fazer um ajuste fino, algo mais preciso, já que o meu ouvido de hoje já é acostumado ao som de simuladores. Abração cara! Obrigado!
