Nice demo. Would have been much better if you switched to the bridge pickup for the high gain rhythm parts.

Agree... agree... Was just trying to crank though all 99 presets! ha... I'm not much of a rock/shredder guitar player either. Most the stuff I produce and record is either singersongwriter or hiphop/rnb or stuff for tv/film. I love to listen to rock! Just not much of a shredder. :-)

Hi thanks! Sounds great. Just wondering, how did you record these - direct to an audio interface or via USB or via a mic on an amp.

00:55 Harmony in Am, is there harmony available for all keys? Can we choose between 3rd's 4th's etc?
@HiImBQ2 жыл бұрын
Generally in such harmonisers you can choose the key you're playing in and it then chooses the suitable 3rd for it.

And bro, what did you think of this pedalboard? Is it worth buying it?
@samknaak4 жыл бұрын
Dog 007 I did this video so long ago! Honestly I’ve maybe used it 5-10 times. I have a few other boards I use more. I have the GT-1000 and it has more features. Depending on your budget it’s not bad!! But yea... don’t use it that much

Seeing as how the stock presets are so completely terrible, can you overwrite them?
@daviday875 жыл бұрын
Nice video - thanks for that! I just found one secondhand near me at €115...Would you say at that price it's worth grabbing? I split my time between producing myself, other local artists, commercial work, and busking, so I figure it could prove useful if I manage to even squeeze out just a handful of useful tones for my busking & travel-work rig (given its weight-size & that it can also be battery operated).
@samknaak5 жыл бұрын
Davide Grody yea that’s a steal. What else is nice is that you can run it off n batteries and easy to just grab and plug in

Sam Knaak awesome. Appreciate the fast answer! I’ll pick it up tomorrow then :) Happy holidays to you and yours!

Bonjour comment on mais le métronome sur la GT-1svp
@bikersoncall3 жыл бұрын
Edit, lol JE, uh, so you can sample- .. cont under main body... Presets should come organized, like; all crunches, then all distortions, all cleans, followed by the Mating Elephant, warp effects lastly, not all mixed together. ...all distortions for eg, and find the best , and store it in your own organized user bank area. No one on earth is going to use the factory presets on stage the way the are sequenced.
@jreagle583 жыл бұрын
Most players like the option of going from clean to distortion (example: Nothing Else Matters). Because the GT-1 only allows you to switch factory presets that are in numeral order (like virtually all multi-effects pedals) why would you want distortion/overdrive presets grouped together?
@teleuser Жыл бұрын
Why do all the presets have the super distortion tone ?

Hey great video, super demo, you cut to the chase. I am looking for a multi effects pedal with the most amp modelers. Have you tried the Zoom G3xn? I play alot of classic rock, like Zeppelin, AC\DC, Stones, Beatles, Sabbath, that kind of stuff. Can anyone recommend which one? There are no demo models at none of the stores where I go to?
@samknaak7 жыл бұрын
Angel Martinez no! I'll look into it. With a Kemper that covers 90% of it for me. I got a great deal on the GT1 and I really like that its battery powered. I can take it then in my backpack when I travel. :-) but I'll look at the G3xn
@AngelMartinez-qs3cf7 жыл бұрын
Hey, thank you Sam for following up on my comment! Let me know what your thoughts are on the Zoom G3xn. You said you have a Kemper, is that another Guitar Effects Processor? Thank you again.
@geofff66716 жыл бұрын
Man this thing hurts my ears. Most of these patches are so over the top they would be unusable in any musical context. I suspect many of the presets were intended for single coil pickups.
@Pulse2AM6 жыл бұрын
Too much gain on most, I bought one and I will say for leads and cleans tones it's great crunchy AC/DC tones are hard to get a good tone, metal is easier but organic crunch is hard to get.
@var_guitar5 жыл бұрын
I own one and I agree that the stock patches, by and large, are completely ridiculous and were probably concocted to sound good in a noisy Guitar Center. Thankfully, it's really easy and rewarding to make your own patches and find a sound that works for you.
@chrisowen93644 жыл бұрын
The presets are pony...Tuneless noise..! .its a common thing across all MEU''s I suppose its because there made by electronics companies as opposed to by musicians. They just throw some examples together to start you off but none of them have ever sounded good or worked for me . They have to be set up by someone who knows what their doing who can actually play a bit of guitar..!

Ok, I don't have a history with the GT1 but how long have these pre amp type units been out. Was it the predesessor to the GT100 or just an aftermarket alteration to the gt100
@samknaak8 жыл бұрын
Yes baby brother to GT100 from my understanding. I think all these type of units even back to the first boss multi-effect has something in there that is trying to 'emulate' or give it that preamp feel so that its not so dry. If that makes sense. I think just recently due to the popularity of being able to control that feel and sound in software, starting with the Line 6 'Amp Farm' stuff, the boxes or multi pedals have it just now as a feature you can select or control. Its smart for them if they are trying to hang with the Fractal and Kemper of this world :-). Thanks!!
@James57AOL8 жыл бұрын
Sam very well structured to my comprehension. Thanks. I been the Baby Bro my whole life. Just seems to fit. of course if you d seen me you might thing it was because I look a lot like Gregg as well. Back in the day anyway
