I bought GT-1000Core not long after it came out because juicy Black Friday deal got me to impulse buy it. didn't really think that much of it, was still mostly using my SansAmp 1.1 rack and a Cab M+ (which is still a great setup) but i finally really learned the in and out of GT-1000core and its incredibly powerful. it sounds perfect if you spend a little time with it. the thing has built in multiple 10 band EQs! The only thing i wish it had is a second reverb block, even if its just a very limited mini reverb block. im hoping for another update eventually

Hi, great vids! I have a technical question for a live situation. 4CM with a tube rig using the main output and a loop in the GT1000 is easy, where you'd turn off the cab and the amp in a chain so as not to double up on cab or amp. Also one would choose the appropriate output for say a halfstack, and mike the speaker up. But if your amp goes down during the gig, using the sub out to front of house is important, and that's a separate chain with both cab and amp selected going to the sub out, where ideally the same effects pre and post would be in the separate chain. Having matched the sounds before during soundcheck to 1+1 channels on the console, where the sound engineer just could mute the amp signal and "de-mute" the sub signal" on cue from the guitarrist, that would create a seamless operation. Also, using the sub out signal together with the amp signal could be useful. An amp will feedback easier than the PA-signal with the same amount of gain and volume. The Valeton GP 200, the Pod Go etc, can't do these parallell paths, but which ones actually can? I'm thinking GT1000 Core and FM3 talking small units around the 1000 dollar mark. Please illuminate this Paul because I haven't seen a single video out there for any unit so far. An even more advanced - but useful - situation would be if the assigned footswitches could affect both parallell paths at the same time, which if one uses both signals at the console simultaneously would be needed. How about making a video for this? I've noticed that you take on challenges. 🙂

I just stumbled across your channel, your videos are great! I'm wondering if you can clarify something here though. I thought that if you turned the stereo link off in the output, it automatically separates the L and R outputs. What is the difference (benefit) of putting them in their own L/R divider? Isn't that the same as turning off the stereo link? I feel like I'm missing something there.

I wanted to ask you something. First of all, I want you to know that I love the videos and explanations on your channel. They are awesome. I got my GT 1000 Core last week. I want you to ask a question: You said that "you get the sound from either from the main outputs or from the USB. And you said that you prefere the USB. How do you get the sound from the USB connection? Is it possible to hear the sound from Boss Studio when we connect the GT to the PC via USB? I mean without using Amp Out. For example, how do you record audio while recording your videos? Do you use a DAW during your recordings. I know how to use DAW very well (if you check my page, I even have an EP that I recorded with Presonus and mixed and mastered myself on Spotify). But I guess I'm a bit incompetent in this regard. If there is sound output from Boss Studio directly via USB, what settings should I have to make for this? I would be very happy if you can explain. Thank you so much 🙏 🙏 🙏

I think you need to connect the monitors to the outputs on the GT1000... then you can select GT1000 as your audio device on the computer...

Awesome tone and instructions! I tried this out but I'm not sure why, but both cabs are coming out on both the L and R channels, rather than one going to the L and one to the R. I suspect that it might be due to the divider options. Would you be able to share your settings for the divider? Thanks a lot!

I get output from Boss GT-1000 with a "stereo jack" into Tascam Mixcast 4 mixer/sound card which has stereo input sockets ofcourse I have annoying latency which sounds like extra delays and reverbs added into the effect (I have no problem with the "line L-mono" output) GT-1000 output device selected to recording or line/phones, doesn't help Sampling rate of the mixer (sound card) was 256, I increased it to 512 then 1024 then 2048 and it didn't help Any ideas?

I use my GT-1000 with a Line6 PowerCab at the moment from the left side out, I'm wondering if I could just add another monitor/speaker/amp to the right side to get this thicker sound? Any adjustments needed to the right side? Great video as usual :-)

Turn of the stereo switch in on the cab page. It’s located on the far right of the screen. Then you can select two cabs. Click on the window that says “original” and thatbwindow will show you all the speakertypes you can choose.

Hello my fellow tone enthusiast! Could you tell me how playing through this in your private jam sessions feels compared to one of your favorite amps? I’m thinking of ditching an amp I love in exchange for this setup. I ultimately get bored being stuck with a single amplifier, but at this time can’t quite afford to buy all kinds of amps. Your input would mean a lot. I’m considering a GT1000 with 2 of these frfr cabs. So long as it doesn’t sound like a storm of angry diarrhea, and it feels like genuine guitar amplification.. Hi Pole. Feel wise it’s great, the GT1000 is really responsive. It might take a bit of time to get the sounds you want but once your there is really good.

USB out for recording is not the same as jack out into audio interface. As an audio interface alone the GT1000 is really bad. Try playing a song on those UADs you have, and do the same having the GT1000 as the audio interface. It s night and day the difference, sounds really bad
