BOSS GT-1000 Core (Unboxing & Clean Ambient Patch Playthrough)

We finally got our hands on the new BOSS GT-1000 Core. It's a great size stomp pedal which gives you 24 blocks within a chain and can store over 200 presets. We started by creating a brand new patch from scratch. We aimed to create a nice clean ambient tone by combining 2 amp models together. Subsequently we added the Centa OD for our stage 1 drive, and an additional 808 for our stage 2 drive. We mapped the stages to footswitch 1 and 2 respectively. Am debating on this and hx stomp but I saw the Nux mg 30 is coming out. Any thoughts and would you review the Nux mg 30?

Haven got a chance to try the Nux mg30. But you can't go wrong with GT1000 core or HX Stomp. :)

I think you can stack up to 5 delays.

how do you feel about this vs like the hx stomp/helix? do they compare in amp modeling?

Haven done a side by side a b comparison. But the GT1000 does have good amp modeling tones especially the X series.

What guage strings are you using? They sound rather fat. im sure some of the fatness comes from the humbucker as well
