I just got the GX-10 and your content has by far been the most helpful on YT for getting started with it. Thank you so much!

Awesome video my friend , this and future videos will really help me understand the GX-10 :) One question what does direct mix do ?
@riverludington5293Ай бұрын
@@justice100forwin2 Direct Mix allows you to keep your original guitar signal. If the direct mix is at 0, it means the entire signal goes through the effect. Using a direct mix allows you to keep some of that original sound and only apply a bit of your effect. When the direct mix is at zero, it’s like you are putting salt all over your food. if you use the direct mix its like having a salty food served on bread, where you can taste both the salty and unsalty food at the same time

Why is there no gx-10 in Tone Central?
@nigelsmith721Ай бұрын
The issue with putting time-based effects before the amp is that you loose any stereo information.

DO YOU HAVE A PREFERRED SETTING FOR GLOBAL SETTINGS? I THINK THAT IS KEY. I APPRECIATE THIS, FINALLY AFTER TON OF TINKERING THINGS ARE SOUNDING BETTER. MIGHT SEND YOU SOME PATCHES TO LISTEN TO.. AGAIN, THANK YOU FOR THIS.

Try the standard Global EQ parameters that comes with the device! Then I suggest you additionally: 1) Low cut around 80-100Hz 2) High Cut Flat

Great content! I recently got a BOSS GX-10 effects processor, but after attempting a system software upgrade, the unit got stuck and now won't boot. I've contacted local service providers, but they couldn't fix it, and there's no warranty support here in my country. Has anyone experienced a similar issue? Any advice on possible fixes or recovery methods would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

Can you program drop tuned patches with this unit?
@riverludington529318 күн бұрын
There is a pitch shift! But the pitch shift can't independently drop a single string, so no drop tuning ability.

hola, buen video, puedes mostrar por favor cómo funcionan los conmutadores con tonos guardados, estoy en la duda si me compro el gx10 o el gx100

It can work in two ways: Each switch can be a saved tone Or Each switch can be individual effects

It seems to work with most foot switches. You can connect two foot switches with a TRS cable.

As far as I know gx-10 has 96 khz sampling rate available. Is it true?

48k

@erinburke9711 I saw the review where a user switched it to 96khz. Leo Gibson channel.
@erinburke971110 күн бұрын
@@max_nadolny I haven't seen the video, but that's probably when used as a USB interface. The computer would be sent 96k, but the internal processing of the GX is still always 48k.

Great and clear instructions however that user interface boss is presenting is like designed by a 5 years old. Boss needs to update its softwares in a user friendly way...
@riverludington5293Ай бұрын
I hear you. There are some quirks with the software as well, but it's fairly straight forward to use and once I get a sound I like, I stop using Tone Studio for a while so it's not a deal breaker for me! Additionally I find the touchscreen on the device to be easier to use than most reviews suggested.
@michaeldean7220Ай бұрын
Inclined to agree. Those hexagons remind me of UK kids quiz show Blockbusters. Personally I prefer the more graphical style interfaces that have little amp and effects pedal icons. The more tech looking Boss interface I think could lead people down the path of too much tone tweaking and not enough actual playing. Having said all this the form factor looks great and the tones look sweet
@LuisJimenez-pb3geАй бұрын
I use the touch screen and this is one of the easiest pedals to use. If I were a child I would want little picture of amps and pedals too but, as an adult I just want my tone to sound good and this pedal sound outstanding

@LuisJimenez-pb3ge oh, snap! 😆 I own a GX100, fractal fm9 and a Quad Cortex. The GX100 is by far the easiest to program and assign footswitches

The good thing is that it only takes a firmware update to achieve a better UX. The bad thing is that Boss/Roland is a huge company, which will probably make any suggestions go thru some bureacratic slump.
