Great video. Alternatively depending on your needs and application you could assign your three loop controls to the bank up/down, and C2. You could access banks with an external pedal and your tuner through your phone if you have the adapter. You would lose manual mode unless you assigned it to a different location. Anyway just one more thought.

At first, I thought this was going to be hard to follow, but the controls are kind of intuitive and your dual-screen close-up really simplified it. I'm wondering how much pressure you need to activate the foot switch since you used your hands. Also, I'd like to see you demonstrate the phaser on and off on the fly to see how simple it is to use in a live show. Job well done DD!

Hey thanks Perch! The pressure can be adjusted even lighter, but if I do it to the point of being easy by hand..it is too easy to accidentally swap while using your feet. I really do love this unit.

Awesome. So, quick question. How do you set it up so an effect like delay will roll ofF into another patch when you switch patches (not distortion or amp, but patches)? My good ol' Digitech 2120 Artist (purple rack) does this, but can't figure out how to get the Boss GX100 to do it.

@@paulauksztulewicz7381 thanks man! What you’re looking for is trailers within the verb or delay section, accordingly. And you also want to make sure it is ON for the patch you are GOING TO SWITCH TO! A lot of folks miss that second part when setting this up.

While in Manual Mode, can you still have footswitches to multiple things, like switch to a different amp, turn on a delay and a touch wah?

You won’t be able to use the main switches for that, but adding a couple of external ones will help expand your options.

@@DoubleDguitar 😩😩I have not updated yet. I like to keep it simple with the Strat. Clean Blues style, nothing to “Gainy”. I had a gig on Saturday night for a “Guitar for Vets” and had to come up with a quick patch for the Acoustasonic but I know I can do better with it. I’ll certainly check it out and try to narrow down my amps. Hopefully more Acoustic options!! 🙏🏽🤞🏽

You’re welcome! I am not sure, I think pretty long. I am pretty sure you could get 12-16 bars in. I think it may say in the manual, I am not home to check. Maybe try a quick look online, Boss has a great manual section on their site.

Sir is there any chance to sync my gx 100 looper with beatbuddy... Like if i wanted to pause the loop it also pause the beat in beat buddy.. Is there any possibility ?

Hmm, I have not messed with a Beat Buddy, as much as I would like to. Does the BB send midi commands? If so, there would need to be a way to send the pause/play cc number from the BB to the GX. After some chats with Boss about the looping functions, the GX may be a little limited in terms of control. But, if you can, that would be the way in. The GX doesn’t really take any kind of tempo code, so you would have to be really precise with your timing.

When i go to some patch and put loop pharser and assign the bottons. And when i record and i play the looper play but the sound wont come untill i press again to dub.. And sometimes the looped section stop to sound but it shows its playing when i press the botton to dub..!!! But on the looper patches i dnt get any problem to loop.. M i missing smthing here...

Well the looper will start either dubbing or playing back, depending on how you have the option set for it, when you hit the play button again. Check the options for your looper. Menu button, Play Options, press page arrow right one time and check loop rec action setting.

Yeah i jst checked and selected rec-play-dub . But the thing is when i recOrd it plays but when i try to dub the looped section sounds stop ... How i am supposed to dub anything if the looped section dnt sound .

@@sonurap ah, yeah. I hated trying to use it that way. Which is why I made this video. The buttons are not very responsive, and sometimes miss the foot press. Maybe this is what’s going on?

Great video! Unfortunarely i'm still using only one switch for the looper please let me understand one thing , if a setting is on "memory" is related to the patch only and if instead is "system" it means it is always like that no matter which patch it is, isn't it?

Glad you liked the video! And yes, a “Memory” designation means for just that patch. A “System” would mean the unit will always operate accordingly, no matter which patch was selected.

Not so much, you have to be pretty on it when you stop your loop. I wish it would synch to your tapped tempo.

Great video, but can you explain more in depth how to get loop going and switch to a different patch and loop will keep playing? Do I just set the same control functions for both patches?

The loop will keep playing, even if the patches you switch to don’t have the looper functions! Which I really like. However, if you want to regain control of stopping, dubbing etc, you have to switch to the patch/bank with the loop controls setup. I like to start with something rhythmic to set the loop time. Then layer on top of it the chords or riffs. It helps keep the timing tight.

Once my job calms down, I want to design some patches with anyone that is tuned into the stream and make them available for everyone afterwards. Hopefully by Halloween I can start to do this. Glad you dig the unit, it’s really a killer piece of gear.

Not that I have seen. I use the volume pedal to control the loop level and can do it that way.

Unfortunately not, it goes to the memory that gets erased once it’s turned off.
