Man - I am at band practice tomorrow and have been struggling to get a good clean and a good heavy sound with the Katana that will sound good loud - then you release the John Mayer and Pearl Jam patches the day before! Can't thank you enough, these are exactly what I have been looking for :) Now to balance them out for my Telecaster 😀

Brilliant video chaps, would love to see you do Free -Alright Now if possible, by the way the Katana is definitely on my bucket list, I’m considering cashing all of my other amps in to by one and put some money back in my pocket at the same time. 👍

Everyone seems to tackle Slash's tone from Sweet Child but I think his tone from Nightrain is wicked! So maybe you guys could give that one a go?

Great videos recently justin, Does give an idea for those new to the kantana amps and amps in general on how to get the sound your looking for, like me where am a total noob with amps, but already been teached on how to use them and still dont know what am doing lol, But next could you please do Led zeppelin and Kashmir, Also red hot chili peppers give it away, That will test your amp tone skills

So great how much your willing ta share,I'm still stuck In old school,so much,this all just seems like magic. I still have a art processor from the 90's,,and trying to make your own sound on that,meant risking loosing Your 400 presets.lolthanks for dragging me into this Century, really dig what you do,thanks so so much

Great set of tones. Any chance of using the acoustic guitar sim. to replicate tones of some great guitars?
@CentaurusRelax3145 жыл бұрын
@9:30 - killer tone. I will try to duplicate that on my K100 head, but somehow i don't trust i'll get anything that wonderful.

Gossard used a Klon during the 'Ten' period, into almost clean but cranked Fender Deluxe and a Vox AC30. He's a drive from pedals guy. Pick out Stone's tone on most PJ songs and it's very transparent drive over a clean-ish amp, he's a big fan of the OCD, which replaced his Klon live. I think you've got too much gain and not enough verb. Definitely listen on headphones.

Hello Justin, Thanks again for your positive contribution to my guitar-playing-experiences :). I am an enthusiastic consumer of your Katana videos. In any case, it takes a lot of time to master it myself. An immodest question. I would like to make a request if that is possible. I am looking for a patch for the sound of JJ Cale on my Katana 100. There are actually 2. 1 for his guided sound on the rhythm guitar and 1 for the solo work. I am not getting it right myself. Maybe because I play on a Gretsch Hollowbody, but still. I like to hear from you. Thanks.

Taking off my right earphone, I feel like the left "wet" side also has something else going on. Like a uni-vibe or a phaser or something. Might even be double tracked with a clean signal. I feel like I only hear it at certain times with certain phrases.

I thought Alive was played on a Strat. At least that's how I saw it live. Edit, It's Mike playing the strat, Gossard playing the Les Paul for the riff.

Even though I grew up in the fifties and sixties, the nineties were my favorite decade, for many reasons, but especially for the rock music of that time. Lots of good stuff out there now, if you know where to look (Audiotree comes to mind), but in general I hate the 21st century. King Crimson got it right back in 1969.
